Endless Loadscreen

    I've had an issue over the past few days where the launcher tells me it couldn't verify my version, so I just close and re-open it and it's fine.. been doing that about once a day.

    Just adding in here that like others, I simply can't log in.. occasionally I'll get to character select screen, but when I select one, it just loads for a few minutes and then drops me.

    I have not been able to log in and get my daily rewards and my event tickets for 2 days now..... are we going to get reimbursed for these items? I think its only fair that you credit our accounts with the tickets and items we have missed and check off our calendars to show them as claimed @ZOS_GinaBruno

    Well I am now getting an error with the launcher saying it's unable to determine the current version. It tells me to repair it but then it gives another error after it runs repair. It seems to be stuck like this

    I wanted to log in and us the Golden Vendor, I hope this gets fixed before the item are no longer available.

    anything involving a load screen seems a prison sentence atm..

    sitting in the event arena load screen ...till i get kicked out to the lobby to, only do it again.

    My eso plus comes up for renewal in a few days. am seriously considering deactivating it until Zos can get their act together. spending 20 bucks a month on something that is causing more frustration than fun when money is as tight as it is these days just makes no sense.

    Come on @ZOS_GinaBruno what is going to be done about this? It feels like out of the 30 days of plus I payed for, I've only really got enjoyment out of half of it. and you've offered us peanuts as compensation.

    Maybe Zos should spend some money to actually get to the bottom of all the issues that keep happening, instead of just trying to do the absolute minimum to keep the servers running.

    Surely you can't be serious, ZOS? This is really bad. I can't log in and play this game that I fell in love with.

    I have been having assort issues for days, but tonight I can't even get into game.
    After a LOOOOONG load screen, I got on my merchant alt, but Guild Bank/Store would not work.
    Log out to log in my main, and 40+ minutes of load screen. I finally gave up.
    Guess we can play the forums games for a bit... Lol

    Haven't been able to maintain a connection for two hours. Sometimes get to the log in screen and character selection but lose connection when logging in. A few times I managed to load but as soon as I had to exit a delve, I lose connection during the exit. I'm stuck in a finished delve since when I do manage to log in I lose the connection as soon as I try and leave. I get a loading screen for 5+ minutes then get the connection lost notice.

    :| Should have brought the server down when people started complaining. So I've been sitting here for like, gee idk 2 dang hours, and now in an hr you're gonna bring the server down, and that's gonna take hours for y'all to do what exactly...? Say it's fixed? When it's gonna do this all over again tomorrow?

    Jokes on me for thinking it was getting better. I want more than XP scrolls, this is a bloody joke.

    Retry: You've been put into a login queue. Wait time, 1 sec. Waiting several minutes. Quit.
    Retry: This account is already logged in.
    Retry: Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have an internet connection. (Er, yes, I do)
    Retry: Unable to connect to game server. Etc.
    Retry: Get in at last. Get mail, port to house to get something from chest. Endless loading screen followed by DC.
    Give up.

    I thought when it was acquired by Microsoft, it would have the backing not to have issues likes this.

    I'm just trying to log in, I doubt I'll get tickets today, just want to check my mail.

    They took down the "we know there is an issue" banner and replaced it with a maintenance announcement that everything is shutting down for an unscheduled update patch.

    Maybe this time it will stick?
    If I'm the Vestige destined to save Tamriel, what are y'all doing here?

    To say that I am truly disappointed doesn't even begin. I have 18 slots and I should be able to do 18 rounds of quests with my 150% exp scrolls and using my pie that's limited to this event.

    I've been able to complete the quests on two characters since the event began.

    I'm exploring myself and examining whether I want to continue plus on my two accounts. The only reason I've stuck with ZoS is because I love the game and I've sunk so much real life money into crown purchases. I love my houses.

    I feel like I did when I left at Beta for the same reason.

    This is just disheartening. :(

    Actually made me laugh out loud. Given the great benefits experienced by those on NA since it was sharded, it felt like a fitting end to April Fools Day!

    Yeah, been trying to log in for the last 26 minutes - before they shut things down. Endless "requesting character load" screen.

    What's weird is I got my email notifications for twitch drop crates after a minute or so of request, which seems to me that it did log me in, b/c usually those only trigger after logging in. It just won't load the character.

    This is pretty disgusting. I'm used to problems in heavy content like high pop pvp or trials, but not even being able to log into the game is another level. And it seems to be a daily issue now (or very close to one). Starting to wonder where my money is going? It's not going into content (that gets smaller every year), it's not going into server upkeep... idk.

    Also, side nitpick: why does it auto log me out for inactivity, when my activity is "requesting character load" - I'm waiting on your system zos, not the other way around.

    I did make it past the version error but now I've been stopped cold at the load screen.

    And now the NA maintenance message is up , looks like in about 30 minutes or so if I'm not mistaken.

    If you are getting stuck on the "Requesting character load..." screen, try selecting a character in another zone. My toons in Blackwood (Leyawin) have been inaccessible, but I was able to log into my toons in Vvardenfell. Good luck!

    I had same issue a couple day ago followed the instruction to delete patcher data in the KB linked in the message - solved it

    Man... Theory craft a new build in my head, make it on the build editor - looks really good, hype to log in and make/test it in Cyrodil/Bg's. Cant log in, spend an hour trying to log in and loading screen.

    My 6 month sub, is due for renewal tomorrow. Not doing it. Spent most of last month not being able to play or it being unplayable, now this again.

    All I know is, if for example my Netflix sub was down as much as ESO they would refund you for the month. Just saying. XP scrolls just dont cut it at this point.

    I wish this wasn't my main game.

    Thanks for keeping us posted. It can be so frustrating when you want to play the game but end up stuck in long loading screens, etc., but I imagine it is equally frustrating if not more so, to have to try to stay calm and respond with attempts to keep us up to date when there are so many frustrated and angry people.

    I love exploring Tamriel and I am willing to wait as long as it takes while you all try to figure out what's going on. I appreciate your updates and respect your patience in the face of all this anger. Anyone who's ever been public facing in any job when things go wrong know how rough it can be, and it's sad when people forget that the people they are interacting with are all just trying to make a living and do the best they can.

    Things break, a cascade of errors can be masked by a borked machine, a tiny bit of code can make the world go poof.

    I hope this doesn't completely spoil the fun for you, which I imagine is what led you to apply for work like this in the first place.

    Meanwhile, I have had the chance to do extra Spring work in the garden. I just wish we had unlimited inventory out here in meat land!

    I had the exact same thing since update— where it said it couldn’t validate my version and wanted me to run a repair. The first time, I ran the repair. The second time, I x’d out of the launcher and it didn’t have the weird message, was able to play. I offloaded my add ons, but those are definitely not the issue. Glad they’re taking it down to fix it. Maybe some free crown crates for our sorrow, along with event tickets and etc etc etc? 😁

    The problem still exists.. I can feel it zoning, that 2-3 sec delay before you can walk and just now took me 20+secs to enter southern elys. when its normally instant..

    Yesterday was fine. today doing festival quest it is every cell has a 2 min load
