Can we Extend the Explorer's Event?

    Last year went like this:

    Jester's - March 25 until Thursday, April 1

Jubilee - Thursday, April 1 at 10AM EDT, and will run until Thursday, April 15 at 10AM EDT

    NOTE:

The Jubilee ran for extra days because of issues last year as well. The proof can be seen here:

The explorers event is only ever held after a bad update breaks the game. As evidenced by this most recently held one starting days after the patch for a dungeon pack went live that broke the ability to queue up and do dungeons.

It is not an event they secretly plan to give us a fun surprise.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the Jesters festival. It's my least favorite event but I could use the Dubious recipe on my new server.

Problem with delaying it is theres a snowball effect to their schedule for the year.

Explorers event has also been launched for other reasons. There was one last fall that followed the Blackwood event and was linked to community participation in Blackwood wb kills.

However, this particular event you refer to was also after the community backlash that ESO+ members would receive nothing for the Blackwood event, as we already had access to DLCs. The forums were full of angry threads, then surprise! Explorer Event. Make of that what you will.

Guys, as much as the majority of us is keenly aware of the fact that the Explorer's Event was an 'appology' of sorts (or 'shut-your-mouth') it was just that - an unplanned a compensation on the part of ZOS.

    Sly, but okay, commendable nonetheless.

Especially the NA server deserves to have it, and the ones who could profit the most are ESO+ subs.

That only works if the sub players can actually play :D I gave up trying to get in after the first day. Im still too scared to log in and have now let my sub lapse and refuse to renew it until they fix the issues.
I am demanding better customer service from Zenimax Studios.
I am demanding better and more open communication between the devs & the playerbase.

Extending the Anniversary event would be awesome and a fair compensation IMO. Double XP and reward boxes from dailies.
Oh man, as much as I would love that, I think I would also die. I do 7 writs on max characters (it was 16 for the last few years but this year it'll be 18) for the full duration of the event. By the time it's over I'm usually spent on doing that many writs haha.

...then again, more boxes for more Motifs and mat stacks would be nice. I can live with being a little bit dead.

I love the Anniversary event, but every year, after it's over, I'm very ready to not see it again for another year.

My question is where the heck is the Jester's Festival at? Is it only going to be for like...a few days, at the VERY tail end of March, and the veeeery start of April? Because don't we usually get about a week advance notice on the exact date events like that will start? :/
March 31-April 7 would fit the timeline of the event the past couple of years.

Anniversairy event must be running at 4.4....

    Last year Jesterfestival was 25.03-01.04

Hey All, have an update on Explorer's Celebration:

Due to the server issues, we have decided not to extend Explorer's Celebration. We want events to be a fun experience where ESO is running as intended. We will be discussing potential options to make up for Explorer's Celebration, once the current issues are resolved.

@ZOS_Kevin it is a good decision, thanks to the team for the hard work over the last week, it is appreciated.

    Hi All,

Just wanted to highlight for those asking about Jester's Festival that we announced dates this morning.

Also wanted to clarify that we are still discussing potential options for the Explorer's Celebration make good. Just wanted to highlight as it is not getting lost in the announcement of another event.

Thanks, that would be appreciated! I enjoyed it while it ran, but the issues with the patch really did make it hard to play.

@ZOS_Kevin Been a while since the last ESO+ free trial, eh? You'll do it anyway at some point, why not do it now and pretend it's an apology for recent disasters?

That might be the best and most detailed explanation I have ever seen from an MMO or any game quite frankly. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this. My ESO+ is now renewed.
