Can we Extend the Explorer's Event?

They may also want to look into holding over the next guild trader bidding. Guilds have been messed with in a bad way. There has to be significant profit loss there. Lots of server down time plus when they are up, at times the guild traders are almost inaccessible.

Then extend explorer event for 1 month.

Please fix the base game, improve performance and QOL items before anymore time is spent on the card game and other "we need a new carrot" items.

Well this weeks abismal game performance has now cost me at least two gold artifacts to due not being able to play the game with this lag!

Anyone looking at buy the expansion, ESO+ or the base game just needs to look at the forums for 2 seconds and the go next on the list of top 10 MMORPG. Well, ESO was in the top 10, now maybe top 20?

Hmm, I don't know.
The event bonuses could be reworked/bit less here and there and become permanent.
There's a problem with pricing at the moment and this could fix it or be a solution for players with lighter in game gold pouches.

There is actually nothing in the game that is as good as increased resource nodes, double exp, and double gold. You cannot make up for the Explorer Event with anything other than another Explorer Event.

Yeah, that was my thought on it too. There's no point in extending the event if people still might not be able to take full advantage of it.

Honestly I'd say just give us another one once stuff is cleared up.

Thanks for the update, @ZOS_Kevin I can understand wanting to sort out the problems before trying to extend the event.

Also, just as an FYI, the Forum coding for stuff like bold words in the final paragraph of a post is still messing up line breaks on Chrome Mobile.

This is what it looks like on my end, with an unintended line break after the bolded part.

Extending the Anniversary event would be awesome and a fair compensation IMO. Double XP and reward boxes from dailies.

Oh man, as much as I would love that, I think I would also die. I do 7 writs on max characters (it was 16 for the last few years but this year it'll be 18) for the full duration of the event. By the time it's over I'm usually spent on doing that many writs haha.

...then again, more boxes for more Motifs and mat stacks would be nice. I can live with being a little bit dead.

Exactly. Even though I know almost every motif (looking at you, Ancient Daedric) I have 18 characters and would (hopefully) find the inner strength to do writs on all of them for the duration because I love shinies. Remember when the anniversary event was five weeks long? I was definitely a lot dead, but necromancy is a thing, so...

Yeah, I'd be down for five or six weeks of that.

This one suspects the Jester Event will be on hold until they sort out the mayhem. But yeah, it’d be nice if they even just indicate this.

The explorers event is only ever held after a bad update breaks the game. As evidenced by this most recently held one starting days after the patch for a dungeon pack went live that broke the ability to queue up and do dungeons.

It is not an event they secretly plan to give us a fun surprise.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the Jesters festival. It's my least favorite event but I could use the Dubious recipe on my new server.

Problem with delaying it is theres a snowball effect to their schedule for the year.

And sorry someone asked about the length of Jesters. I believe it's always a fairly short 5-6 day thing. In all likelihood it was planned not to start until late next week.

As one of the many that had serious adverse issues for the duration of the recent event I would prefer things were working smoothly before anything was changed

For me the troubles started when the Explorers event went live and got progressively worse til last night. I played a bit early today with no issues - after the event ended and before the maintenance ( which may have been the equivalent of " rinsing out the bowl " with a reboot ) .

Occam's razor points to the event and a particular server problem for the Pacific NW region being the culprits. Current gameplay is back the " normal" lag/latency waves I usually experience. Major issues present during the event are thankfully gone - we'll see what prime-time brings us.

Damn I thought I had a couple more weeks then that to get ready for it.

If anniversary gets shortened or postponed people will not be happy. It's the money making event.

It would start on the 7th in the timeline I mentioned. I suppose there is a conflict in that Jester's has always included April 1, and Anniversary has always included Apr 4th. I suppose they could change from having events start on Thursday and have Jester's be 28-4 and Jubilee start on the 4th. One of the three things(Jester include Apr1, Jubliee include Apr4, all recent events start on Thurs) is going to have to change, but that was true regardless of any of the current issues.

Regardless of when it starts, there's no reason Jubilee has to be shortened. There are no events planned after it, it can end whenever they want it to end, there's no time pressure or conflicts on the back end.
