I figured out what is going on here. For achievements with multiple prerequisites, the new system is merging ALL prerequisites from ALL characters, and even if none of your characters had earned that achievement before, the first one loaded that completes the prerequisites when merged will get credit.PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »silvereyes wrote: »I definitely do NOT like this. I just checked and it did replace a date with an earlier date and character. Multiple times as I loaded a character that did it earlier. I am seriously getting anxiety over loading my characters in the wrong order...
Obtaining undaunted reputation when completing quests, instead of when getting the achievement appears to work correctly. I got 10 undaunted reputation for a dungeon quest. I got nothing for the achievements.Undaunted Progression Changes
As part of Account-Wide Achievements, we've rebalanced how the Undaunted skill line advances. You'll now obtain Undaunted reputation when completing the quests found in instanced dungeons, and increased the amount of reputation you gain for completing Undaunted dailies. We have also removed Undaunted guild progression from Undaunted achievements.
Melina Cassel appears in Markarth for the Friend In Deed achievement.
She does not give a quest, instead, her dialogue is directly attached to the achievement itself.
I have already tested this.
1. I did not have the achievement starting off.
2. I went onto Character A and talked to her. I got through her first dialogue stage and got 1/5 completion on the achievement
3. I then switched to Character B (a brand new character). I found her and talked to her.
4. Instead of treating Character B like a new person, she treated them as though they were the same as Character A, and the dialogue went on to the second dialogue stage.
The Adoring Fan works much the same way as Melina does, so I would assume that this would be the case with him as well. But he is much harder to test because he's much harder to find (in spite of me yelling out "By Azura! By Azura! By Azura!" in the chat box while wandering Blackwood, he has yet to materialize)
I'm sorry. But I cannot accept this. The Friend In Deed and Adoring Fan achievements are pure story achievements. Literally, the whole point of these ones is to experience the story and dialogue they come with.
What's worse, is that Melina has splitting dialogue choices, so you can't ever do it again on an alt to see the alternative choices. You are literally locked out of this permanently.
I can't say that achievement hunters would really deeply care about having an extra 10 measly points on their achievement score across alts all because a Friend In Deed auto completed on their alts.
But I can say that as a House Ravenwatch fan I really DEEPLY care about being permanently locked out of story content that involves one of my favorite characters after only getting to do it ONCE.
Please. Imagine your fav character in the game, and imagine for a moment that you can't ever do some content with them ever again after doing it only once. Please understand this. Please please please can we please fix this?

I've done three delves on a mostly empty PTS, all in different zones, and where none of the mobs were dead when I played through. However, on all three, the boss wasn't waiting when I got to it. I had to wait several minutes for it to spawn.

Second this bug.
Beginning to think when they thought about this all they regarded as important were skyshards, hence the earlier implementation of visible completed skyshards - and that they can be bought in the crown store.
With delve completion being account wide there's zero motivation for completing a delve on other characters and no reason to visit them except once per character to grab only the skyshard, ignoring anything else.

It even pops with the message "Log in to a character that has not acquired the associated achievement to purchase."
There's still the delve quest? It doesn't make all quests automatically completed on your toon. (Unless that's broken on the PTS.)

Is there a way to know which delve side quests you’ve done on the live server? They delve is marked completed when the boss dies, not when the side quest is completed.etchedpixels wrote: »

Also, I sure as heck hope this doesn't mean we can't get multiple music boxes anymore by doing the Bard's College quest. That would be intensely disappointing.

Read above. That's not how it's working. As soon as the delve comes in range of discovery, it's icon flips to white and the boss respawn timer resets. You can wait around for 5 minutes for the boss to respawn, then kill it, but there's no popup saying you completed the delve.etchedpixels wrote: »
Except the quest has nothing to do with the completion status of the delve. To "complete" a delve all you have to do is defeat the boss inside. You can completly ignore the quest if you want to. I have plenty of delves that show as complete on my alts that I've never done the quest for. So not much really changes in that aspect.

Delve quest tracking is somewhat a separate issue, and though you are right that it often times correlate with killing the delve boss, it often doesn’t, especially since completing many of those side quests requires traveling a fair distance from the delve. Since there are already plenty of untracked side quests in the zone, it’s probably best not to focus on the quests as bugs at this point.etchedpixels wrote: »

Yes, but a lot of people will pick up the quest when they go complete the delve on a character, so that when they kill the boss and pick up the skyshard, they know they have completed that particular delve when it's white on the map.
