    Sooooooooo.

Since we can barely get a clear in vet rockgrove due to playing duck duck dashboard, how are you going to make it up to us zos?

A lot of us arent doing the event for tickets BUT for double drops in rockgrove.

Are you going to extend the double drops in rockgrove? Or make us submit a ticket each time we attempt rockgrove and DC like crazy?

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

    This is a joke.

@ZOS_GinaBruno is it possible for us to get an update today? Are we still getting a patch fix tomorrow?

I think a good set of questions here are:

    1) can we get an update that it is still getting fixed tomorrow?

    2) Has anyone tested it on an actual Xbox to make make sure it is actually fixed and didn't break something else?

I know there are quite a few folks, myself included, that would be willing to pretest patches to ensure it works and doesn't break something else. As a community we just want the best game/experience possible. why not reach out to us and ask for testers of the patches on the actual hardware that is broken. This applies to PS as well..... this is my .02 anyway...../

I'm looking forward to the patch, this has been unbearable, I really hope you guys fixed it entirely.

I agree with the above post btw, Xbox users can be used to test out patches, we'd love to.

    Hi everyone,

We have an update on the Xbox Series X|S crashes. We have submitted the changes for certification and are on track for the incremental patch on October 6. As we’ve noted before, unfortunately this is not something we can hotfix and we are working to get it live as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we would like to share a potential temporary workaround that some players have reported. This may be helpful as we head into the Bounties of Blackwood event today.

    Potential workaround
We have heard from several players that running ESO in Fidelity Mode on Xbox Series X|S has helped with the frequency of crashes in some cases. Please note that this approach many not work for everyone, but it is worth trying to see if it helps you between now and the incremental patch on Wednesday. If this workaround does decrease your crashes on Xbox Series X|S, please let us know.

    Bounties of Blackwood Event Tickets
If you are impacted by the Xbox Series X|S crashes during the Bounties of Blackwood event and cannot obtain your Event Tickets as a result, we ask that you please submit a Support ticket so we may help you.

In your Support ticket, please note which days during the Bounties of Blackwood event you were unable to obtain Event Tickets, and include that the reason was crashes on Xbox Series X|S.

Our Customer Support team will review your ticket, verify in-game details, and once confirmed, grant the Event Tickets.

*Please note that our Customer Support team will be checking accounts for Event Tickets earned during the dates listed in the Support Ticket. If you are able to successfully log into ESO and earn Event Ticket during the Bounties of Blackwood event, please do not submit a Support Ticket.

We understand the crashes are frustrating. Thank you for your continue patience as we work on providing a solution.

I've been running fidelity mode for several days and I still get booted.

I on Xbox NA (not series S/X, just an old XB1). I've had so many crashes today I've lost count. Happened twice during world boss fights. When I re-logged, I was dead of course, and although it gave me credit for killing the boss, I got no loot. Frequent crashes when I try to port to my houses. And at other seemingly random times. Very annoying.

It really is all over the place, took way too long to fix this. 😅

Pvp is the most annoying experience, resulting in BG deserter penalties, wasted items and just plain frustrating gameplay.

Looking forward to the fix and not be "that guy" because I never nag about this stuff, but some form of compensation wouldn't hurt. My eso+ subscription was useless the past couple of weeks.

Don't blasted bother with a bloody support ticket, [snip]. I put in a ticket for this as I couldn't keep logging in to try for the tickets after the first 6 dc's. I wrote back after their auto response and I get this:
We are aware of an issue where Xbox Series X|S is experiencing crashing issues. As for the Event Tickets, the Developers will be compensating those effected at a community wide level. Please keep an eye on social media and our website for any updates with that.

So, 2 weeks of a broken game and we received 2 responses. The first telling us they won't fix it for two weeks. The second telling us to submit a ticket to receive lost tickets and that turns out to not be true.

You should have kept us updated, you should have cared that one of your player bases left for a new game and that console playerbase is truly and undeniably a second class citizen in this community. We get updates weeks later because "we want to dedicate the time to ensuring a smooth process". Well, look what waiting did. It literally was the worst update a series x|s owner could imagine

This is entirely disheartening. No actual compensation, instead "compensation on a community wide level" !?!? So we wait for weeks, paying for something that doesn't work, not getting double drops, coffers, tickets and then everyone gets community wide compensation. This whole ordeal is a joke. This plays out like a customer service training program where the instructor would ask "what could have been done differently in this situation?"

    Everything.

Mate, that's a bit dramatic. Every platform has had it's unique issues at some point. They dealt with those badly too and according to those gaming on the PS5, they've been suffering with the same issues we have since the next gen update landed.

I agree with the sentiment of your beef, but they aren't alienating anyone. They've been consistent spanning all platforms now and in the past. Just so happened, we were the recipients of a bad and poorly updated, erm ... eh ... update. Pure lottery, who'll be the next lucky ones. Poor communication is also consistent across the board. They promised once to improve it, but like most things spouted from devs owned by large corps, it's nothing but lip service more often than not.

As someone who has been impacted by these issues, I am not sure what it is exactly you are expecting them to do. They gave us an update and gave is an expected date that things would be fixed. Unless something changes with that target date, what other updates would they need to give?

And they had mentioned already they were trying to figure out the best way to make up for this issue in the middle of an event. Maybe they are waiting to verify that this fix they are implementing will actually work before they confirm what it is they exactly plan to do for people. Just in case it doesn't work and they are back to square one. Better to wait on promising things than to promise something that cannot be delivered.

@Prof_Bawbag I don't at all see my statement as dramatic. Your response is basically "this is how it's always been and how it will continue to be" and that's just not acceptable to me.

I am aware that this is a game, that "things happen" and that a video game not working shouldn't incite anger. All that said, I just find the complete lack of communication and awareness to be insulting. Writing a message, keeping people updated, communicating ... all of that can be done for free, with a comparably insignificant amount of energy. Just think of this in any other situation. If you had any other product/item that didn't work, would you consider a nearly non existent level of communication to be appropriate?

But..if people just take the "same ol' ZOS just ZOSing" approach, then things stand even less of a chance to change.

Hopefully you're right, because I do agree with what you're saying. It would make sense to wait and make sure that everything works before offering compensation.

But would it have been so difficult for someone at ZOS to take a minute and say that in this thread or somewhere else?

"We have the update ready to go as initially planned. We believe it will fix the crashing issues but we want to be certain. Once confirmed, we will update you all on how we'll be making this up to you."

No, now you're just putting words in my mouth. The general gist of your post read like they don't give a jot about one single platform. The general gist of my post was saying they're consistent across the board. So no idea where you got the "good old ZoS just doing what ZoS do. It's nothing really.".

On a different note, people going on about compensation. That needs to be lowered somewhat. what we'll probably get, if anything at all, will be one of those free crown crates you get watching Twitch. Lmao. Like 4 poison pots.

So are they saying they didn't fix the crashes and we will still have to wait?.....

This is the part that is irritating, can we get some clarification on this? are they saying we waited 2 weeks for nothing........

"There is a known issue that can cause a crash when using void portals in Bthar-zel and other situations. This crash will no longer cause a reset of the entire console but will still crash the game client. A fix for the remaining crash is coming in a future update."

@Prof_Bawbag If my post read like that, it was not my intention. I don't feel as if ZOS is alienating one platform, I feel as if they're alienating their entire community. This specific instance affected my particular platform.

My issue more than anything is that communication can go a long way in abating a community's anger and that for this update in particular, it was pushed back more than a week to ensure a smoother transition. That didn't occur and the fix was no faster than in any other situation. These are issues every platform can relate to and I didn't mean to make the overall tone feel like "poor xbox, only bad things happen to us"

Will it be safe now to go into the Silent Halls public dungeon, without the fear of losing access to your character for days?
What about continuing the mission from Solitude (OH got stuck in an infinite load entering the Orrery, got rescued eventually).

What about all the crashes just doing dailies, walking through doors. I really hope these are fixed too.

Will have to play and see. Fingers Crossed, eh!

Crashes are at least improved with the patch. I could 100% reproduce an unrecoverable crash loop by taking one of my characters into Silent Halls (public dungeon in Blackwood) and had 5/5 quick attempts after today's patch succeed with no crashes.

I'm sure there are still plenty of other crashes, but with any luck we're back to a lower baseline of "every few hours" instead of "every few minutes" depending on what you're doing.
