Proc are becoming a problem

    If the PvP community wasn't obsessed with winning at any cost, these sets wouldn't even be slotted.

    Instead, PvP has become a toxic cesspool where all that matters is winning, and that usually entails finding broken things and keeping quiet about it.

    Really a sad state of affairs...Now excuse me while I go and do some PvE.

    I wonder if players have actually found PvP fun these last 3 years of patches. Hmm...

    The whole point of most games is to win.
    The major problem is they shouldn't make OP sets so easy to get, should take more effort and time to earn.
    PS4 NA was saturated in a single day.

    Another day of Cyrodiil being ruined ... players purely target opponents on walls & upper keep floors now, & Dark Convergence continues to pull players to the floor & off siege

    Dark Convergence needs disabling, not tomorrow or the next day, it needs disabling today, & then it needs to be toned down & tested properly before being reintroduced

    Dark Convergence, not survivable in the majority of situations that it’s being used .. I want to say abused, but folks on these forums tend to come out in hives when such a term is used, even when it’s with merit

    The more i've played post patch, the more I notice. At least on console. The entire gameplay is just "off". Something's up.

    Edit: Even when trying to PvE, which I do pretty much just as much of. It just doesn't feel right. Across most toons even. Combat is clunkier. Performance or animations or what have you are definitely a thing. Sustain is different, and it's not just from a measly 50 or so reduction in rejuv.

    And once again, it's the balanced builds that loose out. Trying to run a compromise of damage, sustain, survival, and healing? Too bad! Just tank the eff up and let the sets do all of the work. I'm running across guys out there that take maybe 100-200 damage from my hardest hits and they aren't even blocking! And don't think that stops them from instantly healing to full or blowing up another player the second their sets are ready for it.

    Guys..we all know it will be nerfed. It's the same pattern that repeats itself.
    What you should really be asking/saying is: 'Stop producing these sets, period'

    IMHO, ESO shot itself in the foot the first time they decided to add a proc set to the game -- especially sets that alter or greatly elevate skills. If you take a look at the games where PvP is a big draw, there are no or v.few proc sets (Aion, Tera, SWTOR for the ones I've played). It makes balance a nightmare for the devs because they introduce micro-niche builds each of which requires a special counter-build.

    Balance is much easier if you follow the well-trodden path:
    1. No ability-altering sets.
    2. Balance player skills ONLY for PvP balance (ignore PvE here)
    3. Balance PvE targets to player skills for PvE balance
    As soon as you upset that 123 sequence, you're going to create ever larger problems for yourself. Follow it and you end up with both balanced PvP and balanced PvE. The first step is likely the most important, too, because every ability-altering set you add compounds all future balancing efforts. It's not just a little more work adding one set. It's a little more work for every change you add from that point on FOREVER.

    As a dev, don't let player desire for new gear entice you into creating problems down the road. People don't play MMOs to get gear. They get gear in MMOs to have fun playing. Focus on the play, not the gear.

    Hrothgar is by far more deadly than dc when u re close to others players it will hit from 10 to 20k dmg, only thing annoying about dc is the pull but u can block the dmg or roll doge but with hrotgar no..1 stun and u re almost dead when u re close to other players

    While I am playing there myself (EU) I still can see why some people that do not enjoy proc sets may not be there:

    - for some alliance lock is more important
    - some players would still like to utilize CPs
    - Pact players would have much harder times to win a campaign too...

    Especially the third one may be a game breaker for some:-)

    tbh for me the set is not scary , the scary thing is someone is in that company throwing this stupid ideas after another .. this set will get nerfed sooner or later but if that person is still there we never gonna have a good patch.

    someone wrote, he died almost every second time from the DC set. Checked it myself yesterday in cyro with my standard PVE setup (light/divines), for me it was less than 10%. I have the impression, there is actually a lot of exagerration, because this set is "emotional". It stuns you, and this makes you feel helpless. But you also have stun from several skills, so it is nothing new.
    It also is not "meta" because everybody uses it. It is used by many players, because it is new, and has a new feature (pull), and promises to help against zergs. So people are curious to try it out.

    A different topic are the general bugs in cyro. I had cases where you did not see the red circle indicating danger - but I had this too with the circles from ballistae. Got roasted several times by cold fire as no marker was visible at all. This is an issue of general bugs and lag, not of a set. I did much more often die by bombers than by this set.

    In PVE, I quite like it. Triggered by a DK tank it gives at least some decent damage to my tank when I solo some content, and on sorcerers it is a nice AOE skill triggered by elemental blockade or the daedric mines.

    Went to Cyro for the first time in a while this past weekend (I have been busy). Dark Convergence definitely killed me quite a few times, but what's horrible is the pull. And half the time you can't at all tell where it's coming from so it's a new level of frustration. It felt like I was playing against ghosts. Stun me, fine. Do a bunch of damage, fine. Constantly interrupt my navigation without even being in my sights? Not cool.

    yeah it's not the damage imo that is the worst part. it's the pull that grabs you from halfway across the universe. doesn't matter, zergs will just throw several of these at you anyway. super obnoxious set.

    Hrothgar is easily the most dangerous of all of these new proc sets, when considering its use in all PvP avenues.

    DC is typically survivable (nearly 100% survivable in my recent experience in BGs), but frustrating, EXCEPT when combined with Cyro lag. This set 100% cannot be allowed in Cyro. The positional desyncs cause you to get pulled in from well past its furthest pull range, and the lag involved in breaking free and subsequently roll dodging or otherwise using any other means of escape almost guarantees your death from the massive bomb damage.

    I wouldn't feel so strongly about getting this set completely removed if it weren't for how broken it becomes in laggy Cyro. ZOS has a proven track record of not caring to fix Cyro lag, thus, I'm 100% in favor of this set being removed entirely from the game.

    A set that does all the things Dark Convergence does shouldn't exist. Period. They gave up on any kind of set balance what so ever and started handing out tactical nuclear devices instead.

    Love how single-target Snipe was once so "OP" it had to be nerfed into uselessness, but you can AOE one-shot a whole group of people with proc sets now. Awesome stuff.
