I hate IC too, so I got all 6 done earlier on my main. I just go up and down the ladders until I have all quests, then I go in a circle until they are all complete. As soon as I was done, I used the teleport stone to go straight back to base. I find it is less miserable and much quicker if I just completely avoid the sewers.
Anyone looking for the easiest IC daily should do the one where you burn all the ballista and then blow up the forge. That one doesn’t even take 2 minutes to do since you can ride your mount to each location and the objectives don’t dismount you. I ride past all enemy players and NPCs, works great! 😅

Except that gankers love to camp around those ballista!
You are right, it happens occasionally. Imagine how desperate one can be to sit there & camp for hours...FlopsyPrince wrote: »I hate IC too, so I got all 6 done earlier on my main. That is not correct. IC and battlegrounds during Mayhem is the new invention. Previously Mayhem was only about Cyrodiil, IC had separate event featuring both zone and dungeons.trackdemon5512 wrote: »MidYear always had tickets in both IC and Cyro.

Well its been like that for years (sice 2018 if i remember correctly)
Nothing new
Imperial city still got its event every year (thougt this time, joined with craglorn and orsinium) as a celebration of the imperial city dlc
And midyear is a celebration of anything pvp in the game with the exeption of duel

Simple answer: To encourage players to go to the Imperial City.
ZOS always likes to encourage players to try different things. It keeps all zones and activities populated, and it can make the experience more fresh and varied. It's the same reason why endeavors include things like heists, contracts, and PVP activities.

Then they should offer 3 tickets, one for each zone. As it is, all they are encouraging players to do is go to IC. They certainly aren't encouraging players to do Craglorn, since all they have to do is a WB daily in Wrothgar. The Crag dailies aren't that quick to do, though some are quicker than others.
It's also like they are assuming players will just do Wrothgar for the ticket, since they specifically mention that the daily quests are in two different locations. They said nothing about how to get the daily quests in Craglorn, which is basically to wander around looking for NPCs with blue quest markers, LOL.
If I could just take all the IC dailies at base that would already make it so much more appealing. Can't be bothered to go through all the loading screens or especially doing quests one by one and going home after each.

What does Zos get out of it if they are indeed "forcing players" into IC? What would be the motivation to do so?

I am a PvE player. I don't do PvP. I'm not geared for it. I don't enjoy it. I am easy prey, but a disappointing kill since I don't have much Tel Var on me.
Yet I've managed to do all the quests, including the main one in IC, with little to no grief. The storyline is actually one of the better ones in the game. It's not my fave content simply because I am constantly nervous about being shanked, but it's not the worst thing, either. And the dailies are easy to accomplish.
As for people saying they are "forced" to do content they don't like... you're not. You don't have to. Your choice just has consequences that you may not like, such as missing out on a ticket.
Just like I'm sure the PvPers are giddy at having to do the stupid, repetitive quests during New Life...
What I have always liked about ESO is that they try to make things accessible for all... Don't like PVP, you can still get a quest for PvE content. Don't like PvP, head out to the gankfest in IC. No one is completely left out, which in my view is much better than totally excluding one part of the player population during an event, which other events are guilty of, offering little to nothing for PvPers.
As to the OP, this is why I think they split the tickets... give everyone a chance to get some. And perhaps discover content they never tried or were afraid to try. It's the perfect opportunity for guilds to organise events, which in some cases serve as an introduction to PvP to new players in a "relatively" safe environment (I learned a lot about the importance of blocking when capturing a flag in IC from my guildmates... or rather their mass deaths )
If you are all caught up on pet and mount pieces there is no reason you should be chasing tickets, unless only to get to 12 and wait for next event to spend on mount piece.
ZOS spent a lot of time, effort and money making Imperial City, as well as the ongoing PVP optimizations and patches. They want that effort to be seen and appreciated, same as any other developer for any other game.
- They want players that have never given IC a try do so, and maybe they'll realize they like it, and stay.

One Event Ticket for completing a Daily Quest in Wrothgar or Craglorn
One Event Ticket for completing a District Daily Quest in the Imperial City
Isn't it enough that during Midyear Mayhem we have to go into 2 different zones to earn tickets?
I mean I get it,its 3 zones but my playtime is limited and I would like to farm some DSA and MA during double loot but I wont be able to because I will sit in IC for like 30 minutes trying to complete a district quest.
I will see myself rather skipping the ticket thing this time and go for the double loot instead.
