transparent mounts

I just noticed a couple of Anka-Ro transparent mounts on Crown Crates. I'm not at all interested, I wouldn't pay 1 crown for it ...but I'm still surprised by the price. Why are the transparent mounts more expensive than all the other perfectly visible and good looking Baandari mounts? Shouldn't it be way cheaper? It's weird. By this logic a totally invisible mount could cost at least 3.600 gems.

Because they are radiant apex mounts or in others words, the rarest mounts what can drop from the crates.
Also I personally think the radiant apex senche and camel are absolutely great plus you don't hold a compass in your hand while raiding them.

By that logic, glass furnishings should cost less than wooden and stone ones. Not sure if I'm ready for the opacity-based economy.

oh! not holding the compass is in fact really good. didn't notice that. but that is a great upgrade, being transparent is a downgrade.

A lot of the crown crate mounts are completely over-the-top. I wish I could click a button so I wouldn't have to see others riding them because they are, in my opinion, an insult to the eyes. But some people like them simply because they are rare and others like them because they are so over-the-top. ZOS definitely seems to be of that opinion as well, otherwise they wouldn't keep making them.

A transparent mounts don't look like anyone but a ghost would be able to ride them.

Yep. The good think of those pathetic mounts is that I'm never tempted to pay a single gem for it, but the bad side is that we end up being forced to see those horrendous things in game anyway. I'd love that button too.

Then I would want a button to hide all those horrible looking players with their wierd armor combinations or all those tanks what look like a copy from each other.
I can look at any mount in the game but not at players for too long.

Both are immersion breaking. I have some radiant apex mounts for fun but I try not to use them too much. I also try to keep my outfits as realistic as possible and blend in with the environment.

I don't want ESO to look like WoW. It's terrible.

It's rare but you can still win the most expensive 2500 crown gem radiant apex.

These crown crates have two of the rarest radiants: the camel and the dwarven spider. With the Senche Raht and upcoming Ram they’re the only 4 radiant apex mounts that break the mold of not being a horse, cat, or wolf.

Grats on this mount! I really love the unique "rearing up" animation of this spider. Very classy!
Sadly, this animation was also used for mutlirider mount (Duo-Dynamo Dwarven Spider), but it's unknown when it will be released. So for now Ebony spider remains the only spider with this animation.

First of all, if there was totally invisible mount and it turned the rider into invisible as well. Meaning, I would be undetectable on this mount neither in PvE nor in PvP... I would pay 3600 gems for such mount. Ultimate stealth, the best exploration mode!

But if seriously, they cost more gems simply because they are Radiant Apex.
Some people already don't remember that few months ago Radiant Apex mounts could be only gotten as rare RNG drops?.. The fact that they now can be gotten for gems, greatly devalued them

Since the first release of Baandari crates in 2019, I have only seen 1 RA camel, 1 RA senche and 1 RA spider actually used in game. They were certainly one of the rarest RA mounts I haven't seen any of them nowadays yet, so even with gem price tag they remain very rare.

Also, transparent Anka-Ra mounts are the only "true ghost" mounts in the game so far.
If the light is not too bright, they blend with environment in unique way





When the light is too bright, they appear golden:



For example, my Phantom Ice Wolf is truly phantom only if he stands on the bright snow



Sadly, Baandari RA mounts don't have any unique voices (and spider's metallic sounds are the same as any Dwemer spider)
And their special effects trail has to be activated - they don't have any special trail by default. Spider's default smoke has blue tint, but it's barely noticable...
Their rarity remains the main reason to want them.
I am still deciding. If I don't see anyone else riding them till the end of the event, maybe I will buy one.

I dislike most apex mounts and depise radiants, but the Baandari Radiant camel us problably one of the only radiants I like. Probably because I like the Baandari apex mounts in general with their simple looks without weird effects and only got unique tack. The radiant camel is just like them, but a bit ghosty and made out of sand. It's like some camel from a Redguard/Yokudan legend, which the name also suggest towards.

Sure, I don't have a single character that would fit to ride the mount, because none are a Yokudan ghost. But for a radiant, it looks kinda nice?
