Deadlands Firewalker personality incredibly underwhelming

I was really looking forward to this new fire themed personality for my dragonknight, but I have to say it's so underwhelming I'm not even going to use it. I was hoping for a better idle animation maybe involving, you know, fire? It just makes you look at the ground derpily.

Ah, well. ZOS got me, now I have to farm another batch of event items in hopes the next thing is actually worthwhile.

tbh a lot of new stuff is underwhelming. starting from new features to new classes. it feels like they try anymore

False presentation on zos part, I stood right next to the npcs, they're doing the flame in their hands on a regular, my toon just standing looking surly, 40 mins no flame wth, this was not worth the amount of event tickets it cost, as it is, it should have been a prize for opening an event box, not 45 event tickets, I feel robbed lol

The flames is an emote, /doom so it's cool for non-mage characters that the character doesn't automatically do it.

And in my case I like this personality, it's kinda sober.

PS : It change the jump animation too.

So the fire ball thing isn't a common idle animation? You have to type it or something?

Now on the flip side, I felt the NPC examples do that fireball *way* too frequently to be comfortable on my characters.

The assassin personality also would be great -- if not for flipping knives every 10 dang seconds. So I'm in favor of more, and subtler personalities generally.

Unfortunately still very few personalities in the game.

100% agree. I didn't expect it to be amazing or anything but c'mon. It's the lamest personality by far.

You have to activate the flame yourself. Go to social > emotes > personality to see the poses associated with it.

if I had known prior I wouldn't have bothered, was expecting it to do it on it's own ala assassin & telvanni which don't cost any tickets

Thanks zos it isn't using /doom as npcs every few seconds, nice low-key personality after some over the top ones. But I'd like some actually fire/elemental themed for mage characters to use, can't be enough personalities.

I love it, it's a classic videogame hero pose!

I think the subtle personalities like firewalker and brassy assassin are the best, great for that extra touch to customize a character.

I love it. We need more subtle personalities like this one.

Over-the-top ones can be good, too, so I'm not saying ZOS should stop making those. I'm saying we should have both, so I'm happy with this.

I don’t usually complain plain but wow this personality is absolutely lame, such a huge let down. All it does is shift around your feet. Where is the personality? Where the fire? I’ve never felt so robbed of my time and tickets before. Forcing myself to play pvp stuff and this is what I get… sigh….

It's understandable that this personality is not as expressive as we usually have, but I welcome all new personalities... the more the better

The doom emote should have been the personality itself. How can you like a character just standing so plainly and normally? Doing absolutely nothing unique?

They could've at least added a flaming eye glow or something to make it stand out.
This is just underwhelming.
Like most of Blackwood.

I like it because it isn't exaggerated and doesn't do annoying fire stuff over and over again, like how the Assassin flips a dagger. It's nice and subtle.

Although the unique jump animation is anything but subtle.

You're right! I didn't even know this personality is in working process! Also like that /doom emotion is an additional so my electro-sorc won't be, you know, fire sorc)))

Also noticed that /approve emotion is similar to command "fire" from the trailer. Jump is cool too!

There's a ton of extra tickets available if you do the event every day. A lot of us had 12 tickets waiting for the final item to be released.

It is. If you look in the files, the 'Breton Hero' personality replaced it. It even still has the very low ItemID from when it was in the files.

It's also Basti's personality. Now we just need his hairstyle so we can be twinsies!

Anyway, I was a bit disappointed before, but I ended up really liking it. It's a bit more subtle than I'd like, but it's pretty cool. I know one of the big things I'd wanted was flaming footsteps ('Firewalker,' you know), but now that we can get that from the memento in the crates, I think it's good.

More personalities, please ZOS! I know you're still hiding that Bard one in the files!

FFXIV lets you customise Idle speed, so people who want subtle can have subtle and people who want frequent can have it frequent. If only ZOS had the same innovation haha

I love that the personality is understated and not over-the-top and cartoonish. Some of us wanted an understated personality.

Personally I'm super glad it's subtle. Can't stand the ones that have awkwardly stilted looking idle stances.
