Inherent in the value and worth of an achievement or item is how much effort it requires. You cannot separate those things. If the gameplay value of the item is not worth the effort it takes to get, then few will choose to get it. If it is worth the effort, then it's win/win, isn't it?
Pursuing items *is* fun. Unless you want everything you want as soon as you want it. There are some words for that, though. "Fun" isn't usually one of them.
[snip] 5+ hours CONSTANT farming Shadowfen, no lead dropped this is not right!!!! ZOS needs to fix this!

This is the situation, ppl are spending 12h+ standing on one node and farming it. EVERY NODE is occupied. And some ppl will start trying to take others nodes, this causes fights and PPL WANNA MURDER each other. @ZOS_GinaBruno please do smething about the drop rate, or make it drop from nodes outside of Shadowfen. This is a terrible idea causing conflicts

I got the lead on my second node. It's pure RNG.

There is no one there. I wait. For 30 sec nothing happens, clicking on it. Someone runs up, collects it. Its insane. So frustrating. So stupid. Whoever came up with this idea, should get fired.
Do something else for a while. This is a game and should be fun. If what you are doing isn't fun don't do it. What harm would waiting a week to get the lead hurt?
You seem to be making this suggestion under the assumption that chances will increase if they wait a week. They won't - it would just compress the time between node hits from 2-10 minutes to maybe 0.5-2 minutes if someone found a node rich area and moved around. For some people it would still take hours and hours of farming, it'd just be spread across the time that they went and did something else. Terrible advice to anyone who actually wants this for a reason.
The drop rate appears to have been adjusted at any rate, as reports of faster acquisitions are coming in from my guildmates. The zone is free and clear of bots and hundreds of people complaining, so maybe it got addressed anyway. If so, thanks ZOS.

I wasn't scrying yet and didn't pay a lot of attention it may have just expired. So my question is if you get a lead and don't use it before it expired is it possible to get the lead again?
