I've done every quest (short of some repeatables, like some specific scout missions in Cyrodiil that I just haven't gotten)

    I've been playing since launch.

First year of the game I basically played it as a solo game, and would fully clear each zone as I went through it.

Now, when new content comes out, I make sure to do all the quests.

Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

I like to try to finish off a zone before I move onto the next one, just be wary of all the bread crumb quests that send you all over to start DLC zones.

I find the story lines to be very engaging, so focusing on one zone at a time is great for me.

Yes. Kindda like Tmbrinks. My main has done all the quests (including Cyrodiiland Imperial City) besides the ones that require grouping like trials and dungeons with anti-soloing mechanisms.

Done all the quests 4 times on my 5th play through :)

Just pick a starting point and go for it. I normally do the zones in order (from when the were made) can easily do one zone in and afternoon :)

Ya, done most all on my first char .. there's an achievement for 2k? unique quests i got ages ago, iirc,, but far more quests available now of course.

Working thru zones,.stories w other characters as time passes .. I try to do pretty much everything as i work thru each zone, so all quests, skyshards, books etc.

Only recently managed to do the Imperial city storyline, and wont ever be seen in the Cyrodillic horse riding simulator.

Also dont bother w trials, i do try to do dungeon ones where the group allows.

I'm aiming to do all the quests on my main character, but I'm not in a hurry to finish and so don't have any kind of schedule for it. I take my time with each quest, talking to the NPCs, looking around the area etc. and each one takes however long it needs. I might never actually finish them all, but I'm ok with that because it's something to focus on when I'm playing, not something I want finished and out the way so I can move on to other objectives.

My advice is to think about why you want to do this, as that will determine how you go about it, especially when it comes to addons. For example if you like doing the quests and want to focus on the storylines you might want to consider things like Immersive Interactions which allows you to hide an NPCs dialogue until they say it, which helps some people focus on what's being said instead of skimming through and choosing an answer before they've even finished speaking.

On the other hand if you want to get as many quests as possible finished as fast as you can something like that would be counter-productive, but you might want something like The Questing Guide which gives you a list of all the quests and a recommended order to go through them, making it easier to make sure you get them all.

One addon I recommend either way is Quest Map which puts markers on the map for quests, including marking ones you haven't picked up yet. I keep it off most of the time but when I think I've finished a map I turn it on to check that I haven't missed any quests, before I move on to the next area. But if you just want to finish them you could keep it on all the time so it's easy to know where to go to pick up new quests.

Either way I recommend not worrying about how many quests you do per day, they're not all equal, some will take 2 minutes and others might take you an hour because they have a lot more steps and involve things like getting to the bottom of a delve. Focusing on how many you've done is just going to frustrate you - either you'll keep missing your target because you happened to pick up some long quests or you'll keep having to spend far more time on it than expected and neither is practical.

I have the "pick here & there" method: I wander happily in explorable, and whenever a quest is on my way and I feel for it, I do it.
Positive: I just enjoy and never feel stressed (no grinding feeling).
Negative: I'm slow at completing areas but well, I don't care... :D

I have no hurry at completing everything so I take it easy. Works perfect for lazy me... o:)

I've been playing since Dec 2015 and my main char has done all the quests, PvE and PvP.
My MO has been to clear the entire zone before moving to the next one.

My advise: do things at your own pace, don't rush it and enjoy yourself. That's all that really matters.

When I do quests, it always takes different amount of time.

If quest is boring, it will be done fast.
If quest is interesting, I like to roleplay during it, so It can take long time :) I talk to every possible NPC on every quest step, read all notes on my way, take many screenshots.

Just recently it took me 6 hours to complete 2 quests and make some progress for third quest, in Western Skyrim :D

Generally, if I have less than an hour left of playtime, I don't start any quests.

I have done all the quests on my main, and most of them on 2 or 3 Alts in PvE. Have not done much of the questing in Cyrodiil.

That's interesting to me, I never worry about starting and finishing a quest in the same session so I won't think anything of picking one up or progressing to the next step just before I log off, I'll just do whatever I can in the time I have.

But my husband is like you, he likes to either start and finish a quest all in one go or only stop at what he considers a logical break in the plot. Which has caused problems sometimes, I remember once he was playing The Witcher 3 and said he'd stop "after this quest" which turned out to be far longer and more complicated than either of us expected. (It sounded simple - kill this beast outside town and we'll pay you, but of course there was a lot more to it, but the quest giver was hoping you'd kill it before you found that out.) I think it ended up taking about 2 hours to go through the whole thing.

(Still better than "I'll stop after this turn" when he's playing a Total War game. They may not be real time but sometimes it feels like it.)

I've done every quest in the game on my main, I am fairly certain. There may be a few out of the way Cyrodil fetch quests that I haven't stumbled on yet. But really, it took me the entire 4.5 years I've been playing the game to do. Mostly because I took my time with a lot of zones. And still ran into a few quests recently that are hard to find in zones I thought I cleared.

I haven't done all of the quests on any character yet, but I've done most of them on my PC NA main. He did them out of order, running around Tamriel having fun exploring multiple zones at once, going through some zones backwards, etc.

On my other characters I'm trying to go through the zones in order and do the quests in order, but most of them haven't done any questing to speak of yet, and I'm taking things slow and leisurely on the few characters who are. My PC EU main is close to completing Cadwell's Silver, but my other characters who are questing haven't finished their own alliances yet.

Going through the zones and quests in order is great as far as being able to better follow and appreciate the storyline, but it's also a lot of fun doing the quests in random order, especially when you're exploring Tamriel for the first time and just want to see everything there is to see.

That’s my goal in the end... to do all the quests. It’s only because of my OCD that I have to clear each zone before going on to the next. :*

I also made an effort to keep a clean quest journal too. So far I just got cadwells silver and my current zone quest in the journal 😅 Trying my best to keep it that way! I’m not high lvl either.

Listening to the npcs is awesome and worth it, but takes longer to move on. So yeah just take your time 🥰

yes I did. Playing ever since Beta, I find over the years that many quests were deleted from the earlier versions, if I started leveling a new toon, no idea why, but they did. But I may add that for a player starting in the game now after 7 years, it will be a hard life to do that all.
On NA, where I started 4 years after EU, I don´t do all quests anymore, no time for that.

Yes, me too.. I cant move to other place if I am not done with one zone ))), and I first end the 2ndry quests then in the last place start with main quest..

But after the week playing i am bored, as many of the quests are just hit and run.. i dont even read the quest and dont involve myself in the story, bcse of the useless when u can just take the quest, open the map, run there, kill, collect, come back...

and I dnt like it, I would like to be forced to read and invastigate make some riddles, remember description to find things, and many times I hate the arrow, I would like to read the name of the mob, the proximate area and try to find that mob myself.

done all quests, u shouldn't bother even if u r a completionist. Barely any of them are memorable, most are just standard quests placed because the standard requires the number and types. Rarely any quest have an identity or an essence. Most act like the npc is stupid or act like the player is stupid. Just like some pve content is not for everyone, i think some quests should involve some brain usage too.

Did all the quests, over several times over time. Can recommend the addon Destinations, especially, once you finish your faction's main storyline, the addon can give both markers on questnpc, and give info of whether they're part of the requirement for Cadwell's achievements in the other factions.

The addon Fully Customizable Multi-Quest Tracker... lets you set them up in a way you're comfortable with.

Most of all, don't focus on hours per day and don't rush yourself, do what you have fun doing, and not a single one more - or you WILL burn out very fast... :D

    This game isn't a sprint, it's a marathon, pace yourself ;)

Initially when I first started a few years back I just rushed the main story quests in zones mostly for the skill points and mostly because I thought they would have most of the important story info in each zone.

Now a few years later, during the jubilee I went back through the base Alliance zones, Coldharbour and Wrothgar did all the side stories I missed, in part to unlock the house purchase achievements.

After that I got a bit burnt out took a break until the other day when I started on the Morrowind side quests gonna slowly go back through all the zones at least until something distracts me.

Quite a lot of well written stuff hidden in the side quests, well worth doing them on your main, just don't rush it, take your time, the rewards are nothing special but there are a few recipes/set pieces that a few give you the XP is barely worth mentioning my character is wearing a gold training set due to everything they need to kill while questing adds up a bit and you can avoid just plain grinding.

That said on alts I would say its not worth the time, very few of the side quests have different choices or outcomes, focus on the skill point quests for alts.

I've got Cadwell's gold on several characters but I don't have a single character that has done every single quest in the game. One may have finished Dark Brotherhood and another might have finished Thieves guild. I have done them all on at least one character though.

My main solo character has done all of the original stories and all of the Story DLCs and chapters with the exception of Dark Brotherhood. He has also soloed most of the Group dungeons that doesn't require a second for a group mechanic.

I only do Main and Areaquests (the ones that white out the Map-Pin).

My tip is, dont mix and match. Try to get in the spirit of the zone. Experience the storyline.

    /edit
Thats on my Mainchar of course. There is way too much content to do it on more than one character (unless you really have a lot of free time on your hand. A lot lot. And then I would suggest playing other games. Its more fun).

I can't say I've done 100% every single quest, but I have done many. I only got some DLC quests left like in the Reach for example.

It's not fun to quest just to get them done. I prefer to wait until I actually feel like questing, that makes it more fun.

Pace yourself on doing every quest. I did that on my main for most zones and it is exhausting. Treating it like work, setting goals, and grinding out quests is going to burn you out.
