Why did I even save her? Gimme my 2 skill points! :s

A few characters of mine do not have the skillpoints, sadly. It was only after saving Valaste on a few characters, that I found out I missed out on skillpoints this way. Punished for being new to the game I guess.

In my opinion ZOS should have Valaste grant us two skillpoints for saving her, so players can't miss out on those two skillpoints.

I always save her and I don't regret it. I don't lack for skill points - my main has like 35 free and there are many more available. Making decisions that are appropriate for my character is important to me, and none of them would leave Valaste to the tender ministrations of Uncle Sheo.

Warden has 400+ skill points. Including the 2 from trading her off to the mad god

I already put skill points into things I'll probably never use because then it's marginally less of a waste than having them sitting there doing nothing, so I didn't think it was worth screwing her over for two more.

Although if my evil character ever gets that far he'd do it. Not for the skill points, just because he'd want to side with Sheogorath.

Valaste is given what she asks for. I'm sure she'll be happy among the butterflies on the Shivering Isles. It's obviously where she belongs.

There is nothing to regret.

Evil decision of selling Valaste to the Mad God for 2 skill points was never an option for me. Even in 2014 when those 2 skill points actually meant something. Now with the constant influx of the skill points with every DLC there is even less sense in this. My character has 70 spare points already and I have no idea what to do with them. All those people arguing that it's allegedly "better" for Valaste to be the crazy slave of daedric prince done that for their precious skill points and now simply try to justifiy that.

On my main she was kind of doomed, this was back just after launch on my main so needed skill points, before one Tamriel so then was harder to get. Less need on my second and was kind of pointless on the 1-2 others who done the mage guild quest line.

I just wish I could actually put it in my bank instead of it taking up 1 slot in my bag. -_-

The only thing that I regret about this, that Valaste is not contributing anymore to my characters story after saving her.

Making her a houseguest is tricky as you might have one char who safed her and another not, but I think she should get some kind of return.

Based on all major choices we made in ESO and how people we sacrificed just return from dead like all we did is complete joke, Id say always go for 2 skill points.
Im 200% positive we will meet Valaste again in some DLC, maybe even chapter related to Sheogorat's realm.

If you follow the quest you will eventually find out that letting her go with the madgod is actually her only chance of happyness.

Vareste is not normal she is different and never had any friends only books. Sheo is actually helping her.

I remember at one time @ZOS_RichLambert mentioned on a ESO Live stream there would eventually be repercussions for those who took the Tome and left poor Valaste under the care of the Mad God. But that was like two or three years ago and nothing has happened that would indicate it remains true. Take the Tome, get the skill points, be evil

I only didn't sell her out once and I regret it. Skill points more valuable than a staff and Valaste never return nor can you do anything interesting in Eyevea

I kept saving Valaste on my first characters, until I noticed that everybody is thanking her for "returning" Eyevea without even mentioning le me, the Great Hero! So when I raised my little evil necromancer girl, I just let Valaste go with Uncle Sheo Besides, I think she was rather depressed in the Mages Guild - now she is happy (I hope) with her books and butterflies

Either way, I had no emotional connection to Valaste, so 2 skill points always won.

sheogorath explains the terms of the exchange though, how did you miss it. Unless you we under the assumption you wouldn't be punished regardless.

I saved her on my main, didn't do the quest on any alt. What can I say? My vampire assassin has a soft heart.

My Vestige Varanis Arano saved her and doesn't regret it. There's enough skill points into he game for me to do just about anything I want without those 2.

Well, everything in-game usually results in the same reward outcome(skillpoints). And I was new at the time, so when I got to choose between a book or saving someone's life, saving a life seems to always be more rewarding.

She is also a powerful mage, and shalidor wanted her back... so there was no reason to suspect two very powerful adepts could not match or come up with a similar reward.

Depends on the character. The skill points really don't matter. Right now my main and several others are sitting on a lot of unassigned skill points. I haven't done all the content or picked up all the shards that are available.
