Cyrodiil will continue to be limited to 19 sets until Q3 of 2021. Are you in favor?

I like the idea of an armor rotation in Cyrodiil. There's enough armor choices that, like in card games, they could rotate the armors you can wear in Cyrodiil every month or so, making it so everyone uses different sets every month to spice up the playstyle. One month it could be a bunch of power sets, the next it could be a bunch of sub-optimal choices to make players be creative. I don't think that's the route they're going, but I wish it was. Limiting to just a certain number of sets is a decent idea, but it'll get boring quickly imo.

seems whomever it is at zos who feels the game would be more "fun" if solo players can't heal allies also believes it will he more fun with a limited amount of gear choices...

I wonder how long it will take some players on console to realize their proc bonuses don't work anymore...

The double AP makes it bearable. For me its really stale already. Got some new chars that are 50 and was going to try out some support and utility classes and experiment with some gear sets. Especially now with a rather full sticker book.

What was the point of the sticker book?
Look heres a new cool feature, you can reconstruct gears from n hundred sets (whatever its up to now).
Couple of months later, sorry you can't use it for PvP until Q3!
    WTF.

Give the no-proc cult its own campaign.

Is it only 19, or are there 34 more sets, although less efficient? I'm quite sorry if I'm wrong about this, but please read my thread:

    I feel 4 things really

    1. My bank is already full with eso+, my 18 chars have inventory space full. Now, i have to make room for these sets. Double the char and bank space, like yesterday.
    2. I guess i have to decon stuff. Make them drop 100% all tannins etc used on them so i dont fell like game developers put something up my bum and i didnt like it :/
    3. Make "rewards" for the worthy drop these 18 sets useable in pvp, like yesterday.
    4. Im kind of looking forward to the gameplay, im willing to see. I just started playing magplar with amber and crafty. Might drop them on my sorc lol lol lol

    QFT.
Cyrodiil should be an even playing field where tactics and skill matters, not gear.

So yes, I appreciate the changes. I wouldn't mind if ZOS would force us to wear a unified set per role (Tank, Healer, MagDD and StamDD) when entering Cyrodiil.

That thread has been locked and hidden, it seems.

Many sets were questioned when this first hit PC.

The list of 19 is the list of sets that are completely unaffected. For the rest, any line item that contains only flat stats (e.g. +129 weapon/spell damage, +1096 magicka/stamina, etc.) will work. Any line item that contains a percentage, a condition of any sort (including specific damage types), or a named buff will not. Many sets will have their 2nd-4th pieces working but lose their 5th. (And if any part of the line item contains a percentage/condition/named buff, the entire line item won't work: so New Moon's 5th piece is entirely disabled, both the cost increase and extra damage.) Most single-piece monster sets will work fine, but any 4% healing will not, and all second-piece monsters are disabled, because they all work as procs.

İ d appreciate the changes İF all classes had same tankiness heal power damage mitigation burst skills shields etc. But while some classes over performing and zos made no pre arrangments ; relying on stat sets wont be as good on some classes. Also idea of being able to use only very few sets is going to kill pvp imo

For an 'even playing field', you would also then you would also require:

Only the same level of Cp.
The same number of people per group.
A ban on proxy det. Not fair to single players.
A ban on negates. Not fair to single players.
The same performance for all players, wherever they are in the world.
A handicap system, like for golf, where those of us who are 5-6yr vets won't stomp all over newer people.
A limit of the number of a certain class/roles in a group. e.g. Not 8 support and 4 dps.
A map rework, to be fairer to all factions.
Certain opening hours, to prevent night capping.
A ban on all types of helping addons.
The same free food and gear supplied to all.
Skills to work for all classes, not just some.
Desyncs to be removed from some classes e.g. chains for DK
Speed to be the same for magic and stamina.
And I could keep going for days.
Lovely premise. Not going to get desired outcome.
...because..at the end of the day, no matter what the conditions, skill does dominate.
Take away proc sets, and that's even more obvious.

Linked tread is removed for reasons ?
Sets works but the 5th effect is disabled if is do something else than an pure stats even if it has an pure stats part like Kagrenac's Hope, You can use it as an 4 set however but this tend to be less effective.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

This is what Cyrodiil was always suppose to be about. Not gear sets. Now proc sets cant play the game for you. You actually have to rely on your skill now. That always scares people

I am so AGAINST this decicion. and im pissed off.

They expect us to play with what, 15,19 sets for over half a year when there was no notable performance increase during this test and absolutley no reason why they should leave it like this ??

i want to see this so called "positive feedback".

    This decicion is stupid.

ZOS you are hearing a minority of players who play stamina classes spamming Dzswing.

Cyrodill will be dead with 90% stamina players and 10% magsorc.

YOUR DECISION WILL KILL THE PVP
    .

You arent far off. I put 15 toons on the boards during this double AP test, a stam and mag of each class, my healer, my tank, and one extra mag sorc.

All of my stamina classes felt playable, but there was clear separation between Necro and Warden vs the rest. The only two mag classes I would bring in at this point are Mag Sorc and Mag DK. I think Mag DK often gets overlooked as a viable class, but maybe a different debate.

Greetings to the forum. I just made an account with the sole purpose of voicing my opinions on the matter that is in every ESO player's mind the last few days. Pardon my "essay", but I feel like more words will do my views more justice.

I have been a no-CP DC player from the first moment I joined in April 2019. Large scale PvP combat drew my attention from the first moment I set foot on Cyrodiil merely at level 30. I was completely lost as to what I was supposed to do, but I was lucky that at that time Bashu (who should be a household name to all of you who play no-CP) was recruiting and that's how I was introduced to the world of ball groups and their magnificent coordinated combat.

What I soon realised is that ball groups carry factions. Indiviual players often like to complain about them, but what they don't realise is that Cyrodiil was made for exactly that type of combat. Individual players can't have an impact on the map by themselves; our strength is in cooperation and coordination. Ball groups take that principle and drive it to perfection and instead of being praised for it they are being resented. Lastly, ball groups are the only counter to the so-called "zerg", the "faction stack" - which is also a perfectly valid tactic, mind you. They show that with both mechanical skill and wits you can outplay far greater numbers.

But how are ball groups so good? Behind their brutal efficiency of lies a group of artists, the theorycrafters, who have undertaken the daunting task of doing what every single one of you who has played battlegrounds had to do at some point, i.e. design a build. Except their "build" is an entire raid of 24 people, now sadly reduced to 12. The beauty, the artistry and the skill involved in doing that cannot be done justice by people's dismissive remarks about Vicious Death. Every individual build is a kog in the machine, a machine that is ruthless when at the hands of the right players.

Circumstances made it that I was assigned to the theorycrafting team of the Rough Riders. The raid suddenly became a canvas and we were painting on it in all sorts of manners; imagining, experimenting, failing, succeeding. You won't know how amazing of an art group theorycrafting is unless you've done it yourself.

What Zenimax has done, then, is to deprive us of this art. We theorycrafters are incredibly disappointed because we can no longer use our imagination to come up with interesting build combinations. What we need is more avenues to make interesting builds and Zenimax have just deprived us of half our working material - group sets. After all, proc sets were never the problem inherently; it was merely their overtuning that was problematic. People often complain about sets like Crimson, for instance, but in the big picture Crimson users were entirely inconsequential. They cannot take a keep by themselves, can they?

Zenimax shows us, once more, that they do not understand the game they have created. Their changes, in both PvE and PvP, for the last two years that I've played the game, have almost always missed the mark. Suggestions about changing how Light Attacks work, changes in group size, cross-healing, the infamous DoT meta and its massive nerf, and even the inadvertent buff to Medium Armor on this very patch, all are signs of a developer team that does not grasp their own game and instead makes sweaping changes in panic.

My wish, then, is that Zenimax stopped making changes to ESO. It would be nice for them to fix some things, but Zenimax has a nack of making things worse rather than better - not always, but most of the time. So the lesser evil, in my eyes, is to let the game be - specifically as it were before the first tests occured last fall.

I feel like my views are in the minority, but I wish that those of you who don't see the big picture could see it. We want more people to see the beauty of theorycrafting and apply it on all scales of combat in Cyrodiil. You don't have to be a ball group to be useful, but you do have to put the effort to think about what your build offers to your raidmates, because Cyrodiil is a team sport - and without proc sets the cross-player utility is minimised. If the player community can see this, then maybe Zenimax can rescind their decision, some time in the future.

Thank you for your time reading this, if you've made it till here.

    Cheers!

I haven't changed my PvP gear at all, the absence of two procs hasn't made much of a difference for me.

The first 5th piece bonus of this set still works, but not the second. It's still a very good 5pc set to use for magicka builds, even without the proc.

It's more fun playing in the "no proc" Cyrodil. There is no doubt about it. But it's sloppy how they disable only certain sets and then allow others, and I feel sorry for all the people who go into Cyrodil not knowing which sets work and which sets don't. They really ought to make that more clear in the game, because not everyone reads the forums or patch notes.

What I would prefer they do is just add a "Proc Immunity" to their effects so they cannot stack on the same target multiple times and become grossly OP. But if this is the best they can come up with, I'll take it I guess. It's better than being melted in a micro second. All anyone has to do if they want to see why "no proc" cyrodil is popular is go do a few battlegrounds and see the new "proc meta" in action. It's so stupid is comical.
