It's meant to annoy you, potentially get you to make mistakes in gameplay or send hate whispers back to them. They thrive on the interactions this can cause. Best thing to do is accept that you did something worthy of this action and their time. Do not respond. Don't give them the satisfaction of knowing they got to you. If you can just pretend it never happened, you get to go on with your gaming and they get nothing out of the action.

In my experience its to show that while they did absolutely nothing as part of their 3+ group to kill you, they still wanted to act like they matter in PVP and this was the only thing that came to mind.

Happened a few times yesterday. Brings 5 of their friends and t-bags. You honestly think 6v1 was fair?
That one khajiit obsessed with werewolf behemoth and vampire lord. Lady Thorn is bae, dont @ me.

Since i dont do that, i dont know for sure. But i imagin it could mean someting like "see, all your parcour play was for nothing, you died anyway. You just wasted both our time."

Absolutely nothing and I find it very annoying. Worst thing I've done to people is use bash a couple of times to tell someone who said something rude to me "I see you", and maybe the /flipthebird emote, but that's about it. I never understood why people do it tbh.

I only do it when I 1v3 and win. But what to point of it is? I don't know :p probably to *** then off more.

I like it when it happens when someone put on an hard fight and either of the 2 wins, i see it as an weird form of respect then ( yeah weirdo ) but I hate it when you get overun by and Zerg and they do it.

These are the people who sit on the bottle the best, but no one looks at them in pvp. Therefore, they look out for those who have died and show them their talent. Sort of like "have you seen how masterful I can do this?"

Probably to compensate for a low self esteem. It's often the player that either steal a kill, gets saved by alliance mates after an unsuccessful gank or a zergling.

Usually it's a way to show off and pretend like they're uber cool and try to get a rise out of someone oddly it's often done by people in cyrodil who need an entire zerg to get kills or anyone with a bunch of buddies to back them up.

it is simple to show you domination at defeated opponent in most cases if he was fighting with big advantage over you or with cheese/cancer build like warewolwes with 40k+ hp with proc sets or just tanks with 40k+ with proc sets and can be even emperor against you with simple normal build

I personally find this very funny. I very rarely pvp, but when I get t-bagged, 95% of the time, it's by someone who absolutely didn't meaningfully contribute to my death, or someone I repeatedly killed who struggled to get me down.

Most of the t-bagging actually happens in pve with guildies xD

While I don't t-bag people I don't know, (I prefer /kneelpray, /bow or /shovel), I find the way people react to it absolutely ridiculous, it is meant to be lightly disrespectful, it's pvp, it's fun. People do it because at this point it's a meme, there is really no point getting offended by it.
The other day I was waiting for resurrection, when a ball group came over and t-bagged, even though it was actually some grand overlord who 1v1 me a minute earlier. It was confusing.

    Perfect example.

I used to do a salute emote to players I downed in Aion. It's one of those that looks all nice and respectful, but can also be a total burn, depending on how the fight went.
