I see absolutely no reason to give an orc spell dmg and a high elf weapon dmg

For an orc, 1000 stamina will be an indicator that you will choose stamina spec for him, the same applies especially to an altmer, because giving weapon dmg to a race that has 2000 magic and only is very stupid.

It is not our problem that YOU do not see the usability of WPD on High Elf and SPD on ORC.

Giving WPD on High elf with the other change to the resource passive makes it a hella of a race for PVP or even Werewolves, but ofc I can't expect people *** have no clue how PvP works to understand this.

I will use the weapon dmg buff on a high elf char, but I still don't really agree with the patch doing this. not bc high elf gets the weapon dmg as well as all the other good buffs that high elf has but it seems a lil weird now that it's like. oh bc dunmer was mixed stat passives n has both spell/weapon dmg everyone else with spell or weapon dmg should have both! like. Ok. so. what about bretons having stam regen or redguards/wood elf having mag regen? argonian and khajiit have tristat regen, high elf has stam/mag regen. (various ways of doing so but still a lil boost to regen) thats just what I dont really get with making this change?

Yeah I’m a bit unsure of this change. On one hand it doesn’t really change the meta status of races and just maybe opens up some off meta options for those races, but then as you say what about the remaining more “pure” stam/mag races of redguard, breton, and bosmer. I guess redguard and bosmer already have minor off stat application due to reduced weapon skill cost of Redguard affecting staves and bosmer getting spell pen, but that’s not much. Could we now have redguard a restoring stam or mag, depending on the damage type done, or maybe bretons get mag and stam cost reduction. I mean if ZOS are giving away off meta stats to races, why not? Does seem weird though.

Redguards need more damage rather than sustain. Especially when
    1. Stamina sustain is easy to come by, having both endurance buffs gives you a 1.6 multiplier on their own
    2. It is laughable that an altmer, a magicka race does more damage than a redguard, a stamina race while having a bigger off stam pool and regen.
    3. If you do the math you will find that redguard was and still is the worst stamina race. It is also the squishiest race in the game (no hp or resistance boni)

In the lore, Orcs have definitely been known to be Necromancers, a Magicka class. I view this as a nod in that direction.

Besides, what is the harm? It's not like Orcs are suddenly BiS for magDPS. Or High Elves for stamDPS.

    Well...
Orcs are better healers now than argonians.

Altmer are better stamDps than redguard, Nord.

Making the BiS races for mag and stam dps better at the opposite offensive stat than races that were designed for that IS harm.

I agree with your statement because I use Dunmer for the reasons you allude to.

The rub is that you don't really see Dunmer referenced as "meta" for PVP builds, and it has had this functionality for a long time now. So I'm not sure Altmer is sudden going to become meta stam race. Orc may become a very popular mag race, all of its passives are useful in any build.

And Orc can do more magical damage than Breton :D

    Yep. :D

An Orc mage and a Breton mage go at it. Who wins?

The Breton, because while the Orc is distracted, his Redgaurd pal goes and sacks Orsinium again. :D

(Seriously though, 9 times out of 10 it would be the Breton, at least when lore is concerned)

Just putting it out there: I feel that Redgaurds's hybrid potential is underrated. The stamina regen on my Redguard hybrid DK is very useful and I doubt that I would be able to sustain without it. It's going to be even better with the regen proccing off ANY damage, rather than only direct damage now. Part of winning in PVP is being mobile. Not only do Redgaurds get snare reduction but light armor also gives snare reduction, so my Redgaurd is pretty swift. My main issue is being too squishy in light armor.

Shuffle when in medium. RAT for when you are not. Phantasmal escape when you are a nb. Wings if you are a dk. Ball of lightning when you are a sorc. Snare problem solved.
As for stam dk stam management, you have a whole passive dedicated to it. Use fossilize more. Also Altmer has stam regen too with more mag and damage.
