Gates of Oblivion and new class

A new class is added in ESO every 2 years, so I think a new one will be added to the next expansion as well. Which new class would you like to play in 2021?

    A skald or a bard.
Useful in groups with his nice buffs (like in daoc).

    3 new skilltrees:

    Buff skills tree
    Debuff skill tree
Usability skill tree (fast moving, de-stun, anti cc)

    Would be a dream!
    Logres Midgard!

I'm pretty certain we won't get a new class as they stated such very recently.
Definitely a new system though as it was stated at the end of the trailer.

No. ZoS wants every class to be able to fulfil every role of the game, tank/healer/dps

    Tank skill tree
    Dmg skill tree
    healer skill tree
all of those skill trees will include a series of buff skills, debuff skills and utility skills. Just like every class does now.

I don't care. WIthout easy access to Rapid Maneuvers, my interest in leveling a new character is low.

Well, pure leveling isn't exactly the issue; one can power level with crafting writs. But gathering skyshards and so on could get pretty annoying.

The only important information currently going forward is proof that the awful performance is being taken seriously and resources are allocated to expedite fixing stability.
What good is a dlc you can't play?

    New Skill lines/more morphs
    New Systems

    That's what I like.

If I remember correctly, the teasers for Morrowing and Elsewyr both had very obvious clues that new class was coming. Some new spells (the bear was in Morrowing, I believe) and colors.

I didn't see anything to suggest a new class on this one.

I don't think we will get a class this time.

They can't balance the classes they do have, nevermind any new ones.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

Got a feeling that a new class would be received very poorly. There are better gimmick to sell an expac.

    Maybe in the "forum bubble".

A new class is clearly the most "obviously" exciting thing they can annonce. New systems may be exciting for old players, but new classes do indeed have a great appeal for those that do no play or just played ESO for a little bit.

Personally I just want a significant addition instead of a new class. Greymoor was just so underwhelming.

New class would ve a horrible idea. Plus ZOS has said no recently, thankfully so.

Won't be seeing a new class, better luck in 2022 though.

People say a new class is what brings new people to the game. But what about the BIG current playerbase? If they play their cards right and add in a big, cool system they can keep their current players happy and get newer ones.

Would rather have a new weapon skill line than have a new class.

We need melee magicka and we need spears. After that crossbows and throwing stars.

We could get the Battlespire, with the introduction of a Battlemage Skill Line in a similar vein to the Psijic Order, with the additional system of Spellcrafting.

But, that seems like a dream scenario.

    Uh, no?

Stam already has 4 weapons with around 6+ model variants of said weapons.

Even if we get a new magicka weapon, that'll leave staff users with 3 lines to choose from where as if they do like you say stam weapons will be 7 lines to choose from and magicka weapons will still be 3 lines. That wouldn't solve anything.

If stam gets spears (The only other stam line that I think they should get for the moment.) that'll put them at 5.

What needs to happen before throwing stars, crossbows, all that weird stuff is we need staves/magicka weapons for all 5 schools of magic. And stam needs spears. That'd put both stam/magicka on equal footing.

I'd love me some alteration staves.

Maybe with a much needed rework to damage shields.

The idea there is that magicka users can use all of the class skills in their respective skill trees. All stam characters have to subsidise largely with weapon skills. Which I'm not complaining about as that is what melee/physical characters do. I have never bothered to add up all the stam Vs mag skills there are, but I would imagine there would appear to be a greater balance of skills if you think about it like that, rather than the skill trees themselves.

I would like to see a larger variety of both weapons.

They did the same with Necros as well. I think they said after the Warden that "no new class planned for the foreseeable future".

The difference is that, by this time of year before those chapters, we had several hints a new class was coming.

We had datamines, clues in the teasers, hints in communications.

Now we have nothing. Nada. Zero.

If we were having a new class, I'm pretty sure at least something would have been leaked/found/teased at this point.

Both Warden and Necros were almost certain to be coming by the time we had the January annoucement for Morrowind and Elsewyr.

They never officially said a new class was added every 2 years...I mean I don't mind having a new class, but at Quakecon they said they were not adding anymore class slots, most interpreted that as no new class. I still think we need an overhaul of our current classes and skill lines(along with bugs/balance) but I am fine with either.
