>> (5 items) Increases your healing received by 10% for you and up to 11 group members within 10 meters of you. <<

IF you are a healer.... ok?..... and you 'self heal' does that amount to shareable healing to the other 11 group members with this 5 item description?
That is, does self healing amount to having 10% more healing AND that value being shared too with this armour?

The reason I ask is that I thought this might be a good healers Armour.

This is a great healing set.
Any healing from any source (self or other) is increased.

    Plus you get green balls.

:o I'm a bit edgy about green balls. My mother always warned me.... :p

    Thanks anyway.

Are you asking whether the self heals are shared with your group members?

If I read it correctly all it does is increasing the healing that you and your group members receive.

If you self heal the only one receiving heals is you, with +10% of course, but only you.

    As I understand it:
    • healing received increases all incoming healing regardless of source
    • healing done increases all healing that you are the source of
    • healing taken increases all healing on you from other sources

Could be wrong about healing taken though.

Yes, it increases the healing received by everyone in the group, including the wearer. This is different from increasing your healing output by 10% because it also affects everyone’s self-healing and the healing from any other healers in the group.

It can be used in some trials if you’re struggling with a heal-check mechanic, but it’s typically avoided due to better sets that buff group damage or sustain.

Okay so I understand confusion. So healing received is actually parameter. This simply increases individuals in 12 size the amount of healing they get from all sources including their individual self heals or heals done by the other healer

Back in the day, the number of glowing orbs around the person wearing one of the sets that create that visual (Sanctuary, Worm Cult, Hircine, Ebon Armory) was determined by how many people in the wearer's group were in range of the set's effect. Because of this, there are some epically hilarious screenshots of players who are just SURROUNDED by a giant mass of glowing orbs, to the point that the player-character can't even be seen.

I'm not sure about Hircine and Sanctuary, but if you mix two sets that grant different colors of orb, both of them will appear and circle your character. Hircine and Sanctuary are both green, Ebon Armory is red, and Worm Cult is blue.

This is a great set for beginner healers that may struggle to keep the group alive.

More experienced healers will want to focus more on sets that buff the group's damage output and/or resource regen.

You get sorrounded by 2 sets of green balls, that will merge if you change zones.

Radius is too small and there are not many encounters where you might need so much healing while being stacked tightly to one spot. And if you happen to find yourself in such encounter (the best example is execute phase on Lord Falgravn HM), Winter's Respite might be better choice.

It’s a good set, but others are outperforming it now. I like:

    Zen
    Martial knowledge
    Roaring

It does increase for you and the team. It's a decent set. One of our healers always equips it in vSS. I too like many am not a fan of the glowing orbs but it is what it is I suppose.

In coordinated groups its a good healer set. It has little benefit for players outside of the 10m range though, so IMO its strictly a trials set for those encounters where the DPS can stack on top of the healer. If the dps can't stay stacked on top of you, or they're spread out, your better off using a different set.

it is far from a great set and probably the biggest trap set for healers when you can spend your time for other useful beginner healer sets like worm cult. Healers in eso overheal anyway you don't need the set. Not to mention hollowfang completely replaces this set with its minor vitality bonus on top of magicka sustain it gives.

If you wear for example Ebon and Worm at the same time the balls will follow the exact same pattern if you zone or log back in with both on simultaneously. It makes them blink between the colors, as well. If you wear Hircine and Ebon it makes for a very christmasy blinking light show.

But whats a super set I can aim for then?

Spell Power Cure, Olorime, Hollow fang, Worm Cult, Z’ens Redress, Martial Knowledge, Jorvulds Guidance, Roaring Opportunist.

Then likes of Twilight Remedy, Nahviintaas, Winters Respite, Hiti’s Hearth which are all sort of meh for me but worth looking into if you’re interested in collecting everything.

Bogdan, Sentinel, Symphony of Blades, Troll King, Chokethorn (meh), Earthgore (not so much anymore). Are good monster sets to pair with your gear.

Just a caveat ... Worm cult is good if your group's DPS are magicka-based. Hircine is the counterpart if your group's DPS are stamina-based. Good to have both sets on hand and switch if needed. If an even mix of stamina/magicka DPS, then go with Worm cult as your healer itself will benefit from it more so than Hircine.

I presume you need all 5 of each armour? And does this effect still hold true today?

    within 10 meters of you.

Keep in mind that 10m is a relatively short distance. In comparison, Ebon/Worm/Hircine are 28m. Aside from there being many better sets, this limitation is one of the reasons why Sanctuary is not worth using.

The distance between these two characters is exactly 10m:

Thankyou also. This is alot of information to digest. I'll do some serious research....
Glowing balls are good for Christmas. :-)
But I need something that will not only keep ME alive as well as the weaker players who also have a right to enjoy group warfare in ESO's Dungeons and etc.
I need something tough enough to keep me alive as well as work on keeping the tank safe and the DPS weaker players also alive.

I find very very instances where the trio in front of me are tough enough to manage their survival alone.
A healer is required for those unexpected bursts.

What would be good, and this is a serious observation I am frequently irritated by , is that the HEALER should be hilit with something more than what exists.
A green aura or even a red halo or something that is LOUD when youre seconds from dying and between a powerful blast form the NME and a 1 second delay in trying to switch about and self heal while some group of other nasties are chewing your feet off it would be good to be able to see the HEALERE OUTSHINE the other players LOUDLY so that you can make a charge over to them and get their attention.

Its easy for the healer to be secondarily preoccupied.

Having gotten them to see you they will respond quickly to the situation, restore the missing vitality and off they go again.....
With no green or red or coloured Aura, Haolo, Ball, star or glitter that 2 second sweep between dying and being healed from attention grabbing is an important 2 seconds and can in some instances make or break the situations result.

I see many claiming advanced players self heal and healers are not a neccessity..... but I have also seen many 810's , whome you would imagine have learned by now the ways and wherefores of self protection FAIL if the NME even so much as looks at them and theyre dead.
With that preoccupation the tank is now NOT in my sights while I resuss.

So...... that armour for a healer with all the attached etc's is important and I havent seen anything that screams HEALER at me so far. It all seems to be a pinch of this a pinch of that....
I want POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to heal. :-)

Does anyone have any insight into why the distance of this is only 10 meters where nearly every "radius" set that I can think of is 28 meters?
