• Werewolf Transformation and Soul Trap were reset, and I lost the morphs on those, worth 2 skill points.
• Thinking it was a temporary problem, I morphed them again, and they were again reset, so I lost the 2 skill points a second time.

2 skills x 2 morphs = 4 skill points

Curiously I've got a message of skill point refunding on a werewolf I don't recall morphing (char.: Colin Richton) and even on a non-werewolf (char.: Kjar Gray-Mane), can't tell if points were added to any of those characters though.

How exactly am I supposed to know if I lost a skill point or not? I have 9 alts, 2 werewolf characters and both WW's had the ult reset and needed to be leveled again but I honestly don't know if I was refunded a skill point on those 2 or not.

If you are on PC, I would try this addon:

It shows how many skill points you have spend on abilities in various categories. If you have maxed werewolf with skill point spend on everything - it should show 20 skill points spend on entire skill line (Ult, morphs, skills, passives).

Remember - base ww ulti and Devour passive is unlocked from the start once you have ww skill line, so those do not require skill points.

In my case this addon shows I have spend 20, but in reality it is 19. So I know I am missing one.

Now, I now I have lost a skill point, that was placed in werewolf ultimate morph, because it is not there, and I have not received 1 additional skill point to the "unspent" pool (I remember how many I had before the update, and so far none was refunded).

The known issues pinned thread says they’re still investigating why points didn’t get refunded. There was a hotfix yesterday morning for a world boss in Markarth, but it wasn’t meant to address the skill points lost to werewolf/soul trap, as far as I can tell.

Today’s maintenance was for the store and accounts, not for anything in game directly.

I've noticed something about the skill points spent in the Werewolf skill line that could aid in debugging the issue. When going to a shrine to respec my morphs, I noticed that the game lists a total of 20 skill points spent in the line, while the addon SpentSkillPoints lists 21. The addon displays the number of spent skill points on the right of the skill line entry in the list, while ESO lists the number of spent skill points in parenthesis right next to the skill line entry.



Here's what I think is happening here. Manually counting out the number of skills in the line that you would spend - given that the base ultimate and now Devour are unlocked at the start - gives you the number 20. That's for the 1 ultimate morph, the 5 base skills plus the 5 morphs, and the 9 passives, disregarding Devour. However, Devour was not always a free passive skill.

This could mean that the SpentSkillPoints addon, which many of us use to calculate the number of spent skill points in a skill line, might be outdated, by including Devour in the calculation for the total number of skill points spent, or the in-game counter for the number of skill points spent in a skill line is incorrect. At least one of the two numbers are incorrect here.

Yes, it may be the point. I don't remember the amount of the skillpoints before that damned update. So probably my ww didn't lost her SP but only progress in the skill.

P.S. I did some calculation. My ww char didn't do any quests. Only group events in public dungeons and 394 skyshards (except. the Reach). So she should have 221 SP at 50 lvl (131Sky+64Lvl+26Dung). She used 90 SP (manual calculation from Skills page). I don't want reset skills to check overall number ingame. But with this calculation she didn't lost any skillpoints.
