What Stage Vampirisim Do You Find Yourself Hanging Out At?

What Stage Vampirisim do you find yourself sitting at? Greymoor has been out for a while now and along with it the vampire rework. Do people truly hang out at stage 1 like many of us have come to believe, or have people decided to corrupt themselves with that crimson liquid in order to unlock those passives?

4 its the only logical thing in my opinion
if u play stage 1 u can just cure urself cause than vamp is useless
stage 2-3 will be usless to

Stage 3 most of the time, because it's more convenient than Stage 4 in case I need to use merchants. But I do feed to Stage 4 if I know I'm not going to need town for quite awhile.

Stages 1 and 2 just seem watered down to me.

My two vampires were always on stage 4, before Greymoor. They didn't need any passives and didn't use vampire abilities - it was just for the striking look.
After Greymoor, they stay on stage 1, cause stage 4 now has lot of penalties; they don't use any vampire abilities, but even on stage 1 they still have cost increase to all their normal abilities :|
The only reason I haven't cured them is: I hope developers will rework vampirism again, or at least release skin pack with all vampire stages. I will buy/unlock it, apply the stage 4 skin on my vamps and then cure them. I really miss the look of my vampires :'(

I really wanted to make vampire work but for me, it just doesn't. The lower the stage and the fewer vamp abilities I use, the better I performed. 😞

They need to revert the vampire changes. I have no idea why this was thought to be a great idea. A lot of people had vampire characters just because of the look of the class. I had a stage 4 vampire because of the look. The passives for the recovery definitely helped.

The new vampire line is pointless IMO. I am stage 1 atm, and will probably cure. I"m just holding out hoping they see a massive change in the amount of players actually playing vampire now and revert.

    Umm stage 4 .

    I LOVE the stealth running.

It also makes the game more challengingr when you play a class like a stam blade that cannot heal unless doing damage. TBH i dont use any of the abilities though

" The trees, the earth, the sky, the waters; All play their part upon this land. May Guthix bring you balance. "

4 when I want to be sneaky-sneaky. But otherwise 3.

The resource drain on normal abilities isn't bad enough that sustainability becomes a pain, and the 2 vampire skills that I actually use are quite useful. Also stage 1 and 2 look absolutely ridiculous with the bright red eyeballs.

In terms of ES lore, vampires are meant to be indistinguishable from normal humans (at least according to the quests I've done in Skyrim), but they retconned that by making NPCs easily spot a vampire by just looking at them.

I had to laugh when I was at the undaunted enclave at Stage 4 one time to sell junk and clear my bags...

Merchant NPC eating a never-ending turkey leg - "Go away you vile creature!!" (This NPC does not want to interact with you)
Pledge NPC - "How can I help you today?" (Buys junk no problem)

Just thought it was funny how I was denied by one NPC and was able to sell to another literally standing next to each other.

    Another Vampire design oops. :D

That pet is a Sorcerer skill, not a Vampire one.

I'm a Magika Sorcerer Vampire and I stopped using that pet for basically that reason. I hate having pets in the way, especially flying ones. And it didn't do that much for me anyway. I'm a lot happier without it.

A vocal crowd complained that the majority of vampires were min-maxers. ZOS listened and delivered.
The few remaining vampires in group content will be taken care of with 6.1.

the penalty to sustain is much too harsh and unbalanced at stages 3 and 4.

particularly if using a set such as New Moon Acolyte that also hits you for sustain.

I've been using stage 2 for PvP. for stam NB. No sneak speed penalty is awesome, and 300 weapon damage out of stealth is big since stealth attacking plays a huge role.
Above stage 2 the penalties seem too high for PvP suitability but I haven't tried.

Simmering frenzy is way too severe to handle and it usually gets me killed

Only vampire atm is a stamcro on a max mitigation build for pvp.

The "sustain" lncrease is literally negated by an extra infused recovery glyph. The dmg lost of the glyph is covered by the 6s wpn dmg buff after mistform.

I don't use mist as an escape tool only. I use it as a semi gapcloser also. It works quite well for me especially against proc set user as all their procs hit me when I gapclose in mistform.

I only trie to avoid magdk. :cold_sweat:
