Vote to kick exists for a reason. FFXIV has a raid finder and it works just fine. I'm not saying that you should be entitled to a clear or a fast queue or anything but players should at least be given to option to queue for and experience content.

How backwards is that logic? If you're going to look for a group why does it have to be so inefficient?
People complaining about fake Tanks and Healers queuing, like people in zone chat wont do the same thing. What do you do if you have a fake Tank joins your PUG group in Cragalorn Zone chat? You kick him. Same would go for the trial finder.
A flushed out group finder actually promotes better PUGs, if there are requirements to join groups. At least you'll have a general idea of what you're getting yourself into if there are clear requirements to join, or group listings that have clear objectives/expectations that have to be met.
This doesnt mean every group will go smooth but it's better than sitting in Crag for an hour spamming zone chat.
LFG tool for normal trials? Why not? We have dungeon finder for both normal and vet dungeons, and while I rarely use it anymore outside of levelling a new toon, it is a very important part of the game. It socialises content and despite hit and miss pugs, it provides exposure to content and I've even made a few friends off the back of it over the years, and met people who invited me to guilds. Let people enjoy their pug life! Those of us who choose not to pug have our options...
