They should. Sometimes I enter as a tank, and slow, debuff, and distract enemies while my teammates pick them off. This doesn't get me kills, or even much damage, but I did contribute. Everyone contributes in their own way, even if it is small. And if you happen to finish last, they don't get anything anyway.People without any (or small amount) points, damage, healing shouldn't get experience, gold and ap for bgs.

In this video: Maybe the other player was recording you being afk too(you never left either), and sometimes shooting a fireball. And in the beginning it looks like he is shooting at the gate, maybe trying to tell you all to go in first. Since he might have wanted to stay back since he is a bow user. Besides that, not everyone knows what they are doing yet. And some people have the weirdest tactics sometimes. hehe
Anyways, players who really AFK in bg's should get atleast a week ban from that activity. An account ban for an AFK is way over the top to be honest. That would ban half the playerbase if they happen to disconnect or crash. An activity ban for some days is fine for something like this.
For afk farmer such as shown on video, I agree there should be serious punishment. Also, you better remove the video from this thread and create new support ticket - and after you get automated reply, you need to reply to that and send them the link for the video for investigation. It's the only way to properly report such kind of bot.
But sometimes there are also cowards/people with fragile ego, who just stay in spawn and press some button from time to time to not get kicked from the match. And no, I don't talk about situations when weak team is spawn-camped and some of them just stay in spawn and attack enemies with ranged abilities. I think there needs to be a kick system (with 15 minutes penalty afterwards), if somebody stays in BG spawn for more than 30 seconds without taking damage after the match has started. It would prevent both botters and trolls from wasting somebody's place in team.

ZOS really just needs to bring back teams in a second queue. Pugs in one group and premades in another. Wont happen but whatever.

It's different from AFK macro cheating at, say, a Dolmen. People are coming and going, they might not notice a bot there repeating their moves for a long time.
But in PvP, especially when it's a TEAM activity -- do they really expect to not be noticed?
Are they hoping the entire team is composed of AFK bots?
Is the culture here one where they are so honestly not afraid of consequence?
Or can they somehow move their ill-gotten gains before a ban and just restart easily somehow?
