A plea for performance!!

I love the PvP in ESO and have for a half decade. Sure it has had it’s less skilled moments but all in all it has always been a blast.

The fun factor and variety kept me grinding gear, theory crafting build after build, and most of all playing happily everyday. I can’t deny that ZOS help create something magical unlike any game out there, tbh.

That is why I am asking for you guys to put some of that magic back.... :)

Current issues taking away from this wonderful game.

More frequent random load screens.

Skills not working at all for certain lengths of time. “Run Forest Run!!” 🙀

Lag on a whole new level, creating a choppy agonizing game experience. The smooth fast past combat, that always brought a smile is just missing.

This is the first time in all my years of playing that I just decided to forgo PvP. Thought I would wait it out for a hotfix or update, making things a bit better.

Instead I decided to indulge myself in the new chapters main storyline and trial. I was rattled to see that even in PvE the combat was not like Cyro but still choppy and not working as it should. When I even tried to fence my items, I just got an UI Error. 😐

Console is especially hurting performance wise.

This is on Both PC and XB, both NA and EU. Cp and NoCp Cyro....tried multiple campaigns, using multiple accounts. (1 v X and Small Scale)

    They know. It’s not a new subject. they seem unwilling or unable to do anything about the performance either way it’s not getting better anytime soon. Next best thing is to ask them for a new map with much lower population caps so we can PvP and not watch our characters move around like a slide show. It’s a six year old game if they could have fixed Cyrodiil it would have happened already.

    I don’t have the same issues in PvE land but I’m PC so maybe that is the difference.

    Actually I am pretty sure they did lower the population. Though I did check even the dead campaigns, actually all of them. They all suffered from horrible performance.

    Lowering the population is not going to fix this....

    I am hoping someone will reply on Greymoor’ performance. Though more importantly that they try to make things somewhat better with a hot fix or an update.

    They did several times in the past. But it wasn’t enough. It’s not just the population caps that need lower it’s a new smaller map with limited siege. Once again I don’t have the same issues you seem to have because I just checked a dead campaign on PC NA and all my skills fired and my weapon swap worked. But if I go into greyhost my skill delay is 1-1.5 second. Maybe it’s a console thing I can’t say for certain.

    Were you fighting multiple opponents when you checked?

    On PC it is bad for me and on console it is a no go.

    If someone could organize a large dueling tournament in Eyevea to test this, I'd be curious to know if smaller maps do cut down on the lag in itself vs a smaller population.

    I threw out an Idea to partition Cyrodill some time ago not sure if it was looked at.

    Then again you could say Battleground lag debunks this but I'm not sure how their server resources are distributed as explained in the aforementioned post.
