FOUND Work around for legendary dig site bug

Hello some friends and I were banging our heads against the walls trying to get our mythik items. Here is the treasure chest pattern and the work around.
Basically made trace of it, cut it out and stuck it on my screen and lined it up with the green spots I found. Enjoy
Just thought I should share in case it doesn't get fixed in tonight maintenance :P

Id be surprised if they weren't aware. It's annoying but at least I've been able to do all my mythik item leads :P It'll get fixed eventually0 -

✭✭I have multiple screenshots of failure when it's uncovered or success when it is covered. I've also had the encasement fail even though I am not touching a fissure, it happens a lot - it takes me 3-5 tries to actually get the legendary item because the game is essentially random.0 -

This. I ended up drawing a grid on a transperancy to succeed. The sparkles shape shows where the item lies, not the item itself. Thank's once again @Scritchel for the workaround.0 -

Here's one that failed. Note 3h 36m left on the dig and still could not remove it. After a few more like this I eventually just gave up out of frustration.

fortyfivekva_ESO✭✭✭Wow, this has been really frustrating but I'm glad they are aware of it. I'm on the last piece of mythic set and I can clearly see chest uncovered...yet keep failing. I took SS because I thought it wanted me to open up squares outside of dig zone! Nope seems I forgot to "follow the sparkles" not the chest=(

But I found an easy way to approach these. Once I identify a single green square, I save the rest of my Auger charges. I then flatten out the squares surrounding my green square and use the heavy shovel to dig all the way to the item, level the area around my initial large square as I go. Once I have the initial 3x3 box uncovered, I use the remaining Auger charges to identify the areas remaining around my item for green squares. It goes pretty easy if you do it right.0 -
