Depends how they do it. It can be either yes or no.

If you read the suggestion you would see that It was leaving gear cap at 160, essentially getting "perfected" gear that is just better of CP 170
Will it be ok to introduce 170cp gear, that is above gear cap, leaving gear cap at 160, essentially powering up everyone willing to farm the new gear.
Edit: Also, if there are any people that voted no but also were against updating vMA staves to their new version, please explain what's the difference.
