ZoS Fix your PvP

Disclaimer: This is not a bait thread, this is not a flame thread, this does not violate your TOS in anyway. You’ll have a hard time proving any of those things since I have come out and said openly it is not those things. Just because you might “feel” something is a certain way does not make it a reality. I am speaking truth. So please refrain from trying to limit my freedom of speech. You have been warned.

The PvP in this game has become atrocious, you should be very ashamed of the product you are currently representing. Even end game trials are horrendous. I have two accounts! 18 max level, ESO+ since it was introduced, you have failed miserably. This isn’t bashing. It’s the truth. Your game is horrible. It used to be amazing. Was it ever perfect? No. Was it playable tho? Yes for the majority of people it was.

What I don’t understand is how you can sell a broken product. There is no doubt it is broken. Sure your overland content might play better, but even then it is still plagued with the same issues, just not as prominent as PvP.

If there were some sort of oversight in the video game industry you should be reported 100x over.

Many of us have faithfully played PvP everyday since the release of ESO. Everyday. We have stood by you, we have helped you grow, we have suffered through all your game changes, hoping you would deliver on your promises. But no, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of quality control. Is it incompetence? Is it the bottom-line? I don’t believe for a moment you aren’t making money to invest.

This is simple. Take the game offline and fix it. That is your only choice at this time. Fix it and make it the best darn MMO the world has ever seen, because there is nothing like ESO’s game play, it it what made it shine in the first place. Take it offline, lose the current revenue, and when you have it working perfectly, you’ll be making more money than you are making now. That is a fact.

We have no way of knowing if all these issues are actually being worked on. So far the only evidence that they are even trying is that things are getting worse when they do a performance update.

We have no way of knowing if all these issues are even actual coding related issues, or are just the result of ZOS not buying enough or high quality enough servers in the first place. The ongoing costs for a server farm is not cheap, and it cuts into profits. The bigger and better the server, the higher the recurring cost. At this time, does Zenimax really seem like the kind of company that supports it's customers in the manner they'd like us to believe?

People have complained about the performance of this game for literal years. Since that lighting update or whatever it was so long ago. If they haven't figured it out by now, and worse yet, you haven't figured it out, it isn't going to be fixed.

They have tried a million things to make pvp playable and the code is just *** honestly. You either need to deal with it at this point or quit playing. It isn't getting fixed.

Taking the game offline wont help... They need to 'test' things on live severs. What they could do is increase the frequency of the patches for pure performance reasons. Instead of bundling potentiality failed patches with content. Add weekly updates to PC and quarterly updates to console, only adding the stuff that works to console.
This would mean something would break every week but... Like the current pandemic, testing will get you better quicker results.

    I wouldn't say that
I mean it's been better so we know, it can be better. If they saved the patch data they could make it better. At one point in time people were giving more feedback about nerfs than performance.
I can't really say when it all went to [snip].
I remember long load screens & when they added the joke about them being unusual at the very beginning. I think combat was playable then with desyncs happening from arrow spams.
Then I remember a strange occurrence where my guild raided an inner keep and we all got kicked for a day. Hasn't happened since but that occurrence was a surprise to us which happened several months past console release. Then crashes became more common. I can't say what patch.
Once upon a time you could be in the heat of a siege and not crash.
I remember standing in oils, spamming purge for a server of people with little to no issue.

It worked better that time the audio was bugged and went out. Then they "fixed" (reverted) that and the performance tanked.

Then when this patch first released, it was working great except it crashed often. Then the "fix" came and performance became worse than the patch before...

    Seeing a trend?

Before Feb 5 patch (xbox), it was poor, but playable. Feb 5 patch broke something very badly, and it hasn't been fixed. Now it's just a solid mess, as whole groups are building themselves and group comp around cc-locking (because that's broken), and spamming whirling blades (the aoes are less affected by the lag than single target skills, which have become a joke).

I literally had 5 whirling blades in my death recap the other day from running into a ball group. Seriously?

The last performance patch absolutely made things worse. Disappointing. Love the game, but the communication from developers is really bad here.
