It is "selling convenience". ZOS is good at that recently. So, it is probably only the matter of time.Everyone pretty much agrees that they need to be a thing, its just a question of when ZoS decides to do it. In my opinion we probably won't see it until the next Chapter, which should coincide with a new class if the pattern holds.
Would first like say I am Not opposed to the idea but is it really "abandoning" your character if you make a new one, there is a character selection screen for a reason.CaptainVenom wrote: »I focused all my efforts on just one character, since 2015 when I started playing. How can I jump to a new one and abandon all researched traits, max leveled mount, a lot of motifs learned, a lot of skillpoints and a lot of achievement points? This is the problem, and a Class Change Token would solve it.
So... thoughts?
Lol Alliance change is taking your existing character, changing their color and putting them in another location. If they can do Alliance Change, then Class Change should be no problem at all

Every time im doing a quest its just flapping in our faces whenever im in dialogues and when i get too annoyed i unsommon it which gimps my dps or my only class burst heal. I just want to try other classes without loosing all the progress i made on this char for 2 years. Im not gonna redo all these quests. And if i cant change my class then please make the bird not a flying pet anymore or put pet skins in the crown store or buff non pet sorc to be as good as pet sorc. all this flapping is making be go bonkers.
...there is this things called "alts"...CaptainVenom wrote: »Now that we're gonna get Alliance Change Token, it's time for the final token. Most people who started playing during 2016 or earlier (like me) would love to play another class.
Well, that was your choice. Other people made different choices.CaptainVenom wrote: »I focused all my efforts on just one character, since 2015 when I started playing.
I know, right?CaptainVenom wrote: »How can I jump to a new one and abandon all researched traits, max leveled mount, a lot of motifs learned, a lot of skillpoints and a lot of achievement points? This is the problem, and a Class Change Token would solve it.
And you can play that. Through making a fledgling alt.CaptainVenom wrote: »For example I'd love to change to Necromancer, a class that came last year, 4 years after I started playing. I couldn't select it back then.
...that would be a given.CaptainVenom wrote: »I wouldn't even mind if changing class would reset class perks back to Lv1.
The last official word from two or three years ago was still "they were considering alliance change, but have no intention of ever doing class change", and from somewhere more recent "...class change is not technically feasible" (which is ZOS speak for "we think it will take more effort to do then we expect to make profit from")CaptainVenom wrote: »So... thoughts?

In that time you've been waiting, you could have easily leveled up an Orc Warden, @SwedishMini ...

Could've also not wasted time doing it and played other games. Which was more fun than grinding up another character.

You can level a character to 50 in one day with XP boosts and attention to getting skill points.
If that is "grinding up another character" to you, then yes it's time to find greener pastures.

[Snip] if you think lvl 50 is what's holding me back from creating a new character. It's not my researched crafting, fully lvld horse, every zone being completed outside of chapters and DLC. It's the *** lvl 50. In my wait I'll play more Doom and Warzone and enjoy myself. When Zenimax decides to add it I'll jump back in.

2 Years ago ZOS was also saying big no for Alliance Change Token... and we somehow have it now.
If DLC / Chapter classes will keep getting better & better (the current trend will continue) and base game classes will keep getting gutted each patch (look at NB as an example) then Class Change token will be the only thing to keep older (veteran) players in the game.
At least, this is my prediction, based on what happened so far.

Is that solo PvE or end game trial/vet dungeon group content?
