Transparent glass.
Interactive beds.
Curtains that can be drawn or shut.
More walls with a variety of shapes and textures.
More floors with a variety of shapes and textures.
Working Doors that can be shut and opened.
Working windows that can be shut and opened.
More Beems and Pillars.
More ambient effects like fog, mist, rain, cold, clouds.
Control over day and night being able to set one as permanent.
Guess book/visitors log.
Intractable food and table settings.
Ability to sit and eat, drink or read.
Intractable books scrolls and book shelves.
Functioning Telescopes.
A microscope decoration.
Armor and weapons racks and displays.
The ability to turn armor into decorations.
Jewelry as decorations.
Jewellery boxes that open.
A Rainbow.
Functioning portals comes in two pieces one piece leads to another piece they only count as one furnishing.
More visually aesthetic stylized crafting tables such as orc theme table or alinor themed table.
Longer draw distance for lights in homes.
More small decorations with interactions examples are chopping black with knife when interacted with character begins to cut meat or vegetables or a variety of food items or an axe that causes the character to cut wood, fire place character warms itself.
Fish pond with moving fish.
Moving fish that can be placed anywhere.
Moving birds that can be placed anywhere.
SLAUGHTER FISH NON COMBAT PET THAT ROLLS OR FLOATS AROUND YOU IN A BALL OF WATER.
Mudskipper non combat pet.
Ability to pan in and out when previewing costumes and armor in and out of dye station.
A scale ruler in the furniture preview window.
Mirrors that reflect more.
Stain glass windows.
Turn screen captures into paintings.

How about actual water for homes instead of using other things to make it look like water? Have it set to pre set dimensions.
Actual bathroom stuff other than just a tub. More/larger mirrors. Glass options for windows, fish tanks etc.

I would love grass...I would also like to move/remove the grass that comes with homes.

I would like to add to the armour stand suggestion and suggest that this also be extended to allow the placing of costumes and outfits onto a mannequin. Then we could make a cute dress shop or just show off our crown indulgences. Maybe the same for head wear and jewellery.

I am working on a large project, so what I discovered is that it is quite annoying to walk your char around the construction, especially when you build high.

So, I would really want to have something like a dream mode where your char becomes a ghost/eagle/orb which floats, this only in your house and for decorating purposes only!

@kind_hero I saw PTS has a new fine-detail decorative mode to allow the character to see and move while holding an object. Maybe that will help those of us who die a thousand deaths to build the future;-)

@dcam86b14_ESO I agree. I posted lists previously, and Have asked to be given mount use in the 700/700 size homes. ZOS has failed to deliver each time... sigh. I just want to be able to host mount races and triathlons with a mount, parkour and swimming section. How fun would it be to have that ability as a guild event with a gold purse or rare house plans to be won for the top winners??

No, it does not help... because you still need to get close or somewhere up to see that you get a perfect fit/placement.

I spent hours on the PTS building a large construction, so I can say that the new features are very good, but if you want to build high in the air or somewhere hard to reach, you still need to place ladders or ramps to get there!

The new building feature still lacks item snaping, so, for example, when you are building a fence wall made of Alinor marble fences, you would want the item placer to connect the two pieces at the edge.

Also, it would be great to have some sort of grid alignment, so you could avoid having items placed at fraction of angles or off by a few pixels. If I want furniture to be paralel with the walls or perpedincular, I should be able to set/use a reference. A lot of time is wasted by correcting pieces that are in odd angles. The new system offers 0.05 / 1 / 15 degrees increments, however you can have something at 180.17 degrees, which you cannot correct using the fine precision, you will still have 180.02. EHT allows you to correct angles manually. Most of the times this is not needed, but if you are creating a building, say on empty land, you want your walls straight and seamlessly connected.

Housing Wishlist 2020 Part 2

Some of this maybe duplicated, but all is greatly desired for our home decor experience and in-game quality of life.

More waterfalls WITHOUT attached rocks, we want to be able to make water features and match our rocks to the existing environment, not hide the protruding alinor style rocks jutting off the current one.
More beams and pillars
Guest books/visitor log
Intractable food/table settings
Destructible buildings/houses
Puzzle cubes from moongrave fang as interactible lighting
Fruit trees like those found in clockwork Elsweyr and craiglorn
Red trees without dead things in them, full size and full foliage
Ability to set a guild house and a primary home
the ability to set multiple homes to be visited under a person's guild or friend listing via drop down menu *console specific request*
More house plans for plants/flowers both with and without a planter/pot/vase
Slight drop rate increase for hosuing materials
Shoes to place in homes near beds, clothing
Daedric statues
Geodes from mazatune dungeon
Crypt of hearts bedroom stele/relief
Search function on craft tables
Search option on traders for unknown/known.
Interactive fishing holes placed by home owner

Release the dark elf bed of coals in the crown store or general merchant!

Fix console issue: raining inside/under homes- sleek creek, orc longhouse

More buildings like alinor greenhouse with more doorways
Adjustable brightness on lights
Increase drop rates on rare plans- khajiit enchanted brazier, redguard canister Gilded, ayleid, dwemer

Visit neighbor feature that ports toon to another players version of the home you are in, so I can check out random folks versions of sleek creek or other home for decor inspiration!
Dye channels on furnishings
Lootable coffer for visitors 1x24hours per visitor ( bonus if I can put the loot in it! Ex: I could add 5 different furniture items and the first 5 people get a piece.

Ship in a bottle house, that's just given me an idea. If only I could turn my enchanted snowglobe house into a ship.

Furnishing's:
- Way more blood. Blood pools for bathing in, splash marks of blood, and blood drop patterns. A way to make places look really messy and haunted with blood and gore.
- More necromancer and vampire knickknacks they would have to show their wealth or their macabre tastes.
- More evil torture devices for bad guys
- More strange mad scientist stuff for necromancers like weird tables full of vials, experimentation tables, dissection tools, and strap down dissection tables, and all sorts of pickled parts of animals in them.
- More different bones and spooky ritual icons to put about the place
- Weapon racks to put out weapons on
- Armor racks to display armor

Home Improvements:
- I would like to be able to show a few more houses instead of just my main one.

My biggest request is for the ability to remove ALL columns, trees and big freaking rocks that are always in the worst possible place, and usually in the middle of the largest buildable space in any house.

I want a small or medium garden somewhere in the lush mushroom fields of Stonefalls.
A small or medium tropical isle somewhere on the Auridon coast.
A small or medium home on the trunk of the great tree in Grathwood. With a small balcony or garden offering us a good view towards the region.
A winter themed version of Autumn's Gate situated in Western Skyrim somewhere.
A small or medium Icy cave in the Wrothgarian mountains. Could be behind a waterfall.
A small or medium cave in the Blackreach.
...

Mushrooms! Glowing in dark ones, like those from Mephala's Realm or Blackreach. Come on...
Yellow, Orange, Red themed glowing in dark plants! We really lack those.
More plants, trees and flowers in general.
More waterfalls, larger, taller, wider, smaller, or from different regions than the one from Summerset.
River sections.
Small, medium or large ponds and lakes.
Stone and dirt paths.
Large clusters of plants and shrubs.
Construction blocks of all shapes, sizes or materials, which will allow us to build our own fully customized houses, with doors, windows, roofs, wooden or stone walls, etc... Arcs, curved walls and blocks, circular platforms...
Pillars and walls covered in vines and flowers.
Clouds with storm, rain, thunders, snow and blizzard effects.
Rainbow in a pot furniture...

Shooting stars visuals at night, aurora borealis, and other powerful visual effects in some of our houses, or new ones.

Have community give you direct feedback before releasing ANY new homesteads. I think this part alone is the most important as it will allow you to shape content in a much more welcoming way. For example you may decide to place an unmovable item somewhere which we might not like. Or some of the areas might be too small or too large. etc...

Ladders. (Don't have to be interactive.)
Ability to resize furnishings.
Put our other characters inside the house.
Planters with just dirt in them that we can decorate as we please.
Bards. (Just think ZOS you could make separate purchasable crown store bards for each of the voice acted songs in the game. $$$)
More choice of bathing related furnishings.

If I could resize things that would be amazing. Place able water yes please! DIRT planters would be spectacular. Seriously I love the housing but need more options to make gardens and living conditions similar to those NPCs with lush gardens, and opulent interiors. Who wouldnt love to add a babbling brook to nearly every home?

Was always disappointed that the Gold Coast Estate Keg opened but didn't allow you to come out on the other side like in the quest. The door just opens slightly and closes.

Things like that could open up so many more possibilities, pun intented...

Perhaps a more interactable version could be done for the luxury furnisher ? 😁😁

I'd like large circular floors so we can build turrets or to build round rooms in general
Large patches of grass and wheat too
Large patches of cobblestone flooring
Individual windows especially the imperial style glass windows i love those
More stairs but narrower ...stone steps

Also the ability to change the size of floors and walls etc would be good. If we could set each piece to the size we needed eg small, medium and large...id love to be able to stretch things out to size i needed but i might be stretching my luck there 😉

Id love some working ovens , stone ovens would be cool...my characters all want homemade pizzas 😆

I would just like a long chain that can either be purchased from home goods furnishes or crafted, and not Daedric style.

I need these for chandeliers and other lighting fixtures.

i would like more item slots. especially for the larger houses like the Psijic Villa. there is so much i want to do with the exterior still to make it look less empty. also the ability to increase number of guests for large guild functions

You can't port out of a house to another wayshrine, (and you can't even port to a house from Cyro). Therefore houses are basically useless at this point. First job, then, is to add a wayshrine to a house.

Second, you cannot 'gift' a house. Thus, you cannot buy some of the houses with ingame currency. To suggest players need to spend $100 or more for this feature is more than unreasonable. All houses should have a price in gold or they should be allowed to be gifts (the preferred option).

Able to grow herbs or other alchemical ingredients. Skyrim had that feature.
