Yep, invigorating should be buffed. Right now invigorating gives 11 recovery when golded. If you use 7 pcs armour + shield, the best you can do is to have 88 health, mag & stam recovery.
Imho it should be at least the standard of gear recovery bonus (129) or jewellery recovery bonus - 169 for health, mag & stam. That means it should have almost double effectiveness 11 -> 16 or 21 LOL.... that is how weak it is...

Not just buffed, probably needs to be slightly reworked as well.

    5) Any plans to add gear setups (like Dressing Room addon) to the game?
Rich: We know this is a request. What I'll say right now is that we're looking into it.

~Very cool. Hopefully builds with different champion point and attribute point distribution, and ability morphs are also integrated in. Not only for the fun of being able to completely change your build on the fly, but also to let us increase the difficulty of content by taking off points/gear.

    8) Will we get more housing items like walls, grass etc.?
Rich: We know people want to do more of that kind of stuff (building blocks), but we have to keep the furnishing limit in mind.

~I don't understand what the furnishing limit has to do with adding a larger variety of building blocks for us to work with. Maybe this one was lost in translation?

    13) Will we be able to put our chars into our homes?
Rich: Teams are looking into things like that, how to put more life into player homes.

~"More life in our homes" is one of the things I want most. So much of this, please! Especially letting us add our characters and customize how they look and what they are doing in some way. Also, lootable items and garden plots!

    19) Any plans for new assistants that aren't just reskins?
Rich: Have to walk a fine line with this because they still want people to go back to town.

~I promise so hard I will still spend a ton of time in towns thieving and picking up quests, just please let me do and turn in my writs inside my homes. Also, please let us launder items! Just keep the sell for less option on our assistants and I'm sure people will still use the Outlaw Refuges <3

    21) What's the official stance for crown/gold trading?
Rich: Gifting system opened kind of a grey market. Rich doesn't love it, they don't control it and it causes a lot of CS tickets. They're not stopping it right now but it's not ideal, want to make it a real system in the future. Watching it right now.

~Yes, yes, yes, yes. Please add this.

    22) Any plans for more quest content that requires group play like old Craglorn?
Rich: Won't say it will never happen, but questing works best for solo play.

~Optional overland difficulty increase is all we really need. Through the champion point system? Through a simple debuff? Please, I beg you, think of something.

These were some great questions, thanks for translating @Faulgor!

I think the answer to question 8 means "if you are using building blocks, you consume your furnishing limit and will be able to place less items in your house".

About the 20 th question.... Does that mean a nerf to divines or a buff to specific traits?

Because you know..... there is a reason why divines is used for pve dps....

The "problem" it's not even a problem though, is that aremor traits have to be made for many kinds of playstile, divines and infused are with a dps mindset, if you are a dd, obviously you are not gonna use something like sturdy when you have the option to use divines, and it's not even a problem, it's just, this trait is useful for this and this trait is useful for that.

Now, if they want to give us a better choice between infused and divines as dd in pve, the problem is not even the trait itself, the problem is how the enchantments work, infused will never be better than divines as long as you cannot get the full value of an enchantment out of the smaller pieces.

About the rest of the traits, they are mostly for pvp, situational tanking or healing, some of them i would definitely change, but divines, training, infused and maybe impen are fine.

The ones that should probably be looked at are definitely invigorating and nirnhoned, at least these 2.
I think part of the problem, that pure damage and critical damage not specialized, or players have too much stats to have both. For certan level of damage better invest in pure damage after certan level in critical. In the end players have both and just calculate what trait benefit his damage better. No matter how ZOS will rebalance damage traits, always be one mathematically better. ZOS need separate playstyles, for pure damage, critical chance/damage/proc, maybe penetration, to all have their meaning and differences, then players will use all damage traits.
On top of that players have not only both pure damage and critical, but they have also pure healing and critical healing from same sources, and it hurts Powered trait as well.
Werewolves doing better than vampires? 🧐
I think, Rich mean, that werewolves playstyle are more distinct, and they have full skill line. Vampires at live severs have only 3 out of 6 skills and almost no need in feeding.

    7) Will there be Werewolf changes?
Rich: A few. WW is in a better place on live than Vampires, but some changes coming.

If their damage could just scale to either magicka or stamina, that would actually make them an option for mag players.

Assuming there are any left in the game by then. I seriously might not be.

In fact, I just had a Freudian typo. When typing in the /quote in brackets to close off the above one, I wrote "quit".
    Faulgor wrote: »
    12) Guild system improvements?
Rich: We're looking at guilds in general. Not ready to talk about things, looking at managing tools, progression type systems, etc.

    Not encouraged by this.

A great of the many of the most annoying this about the games, are borderline personality style manipulative crap - eg. no global AH - intended to force into guilds. Cos guilds / social stuff improve retention.

    In good games.

In games which are literally designed to be super annoying if you're not in a guild, many players will just find the game annoying and go play something else.

    Seriously.

    Duh.
    Faulgor wrote: »

Rich: Teams are looking into things like that, how to put more life into player homes.

    Also doesn't sound good.

Both very non-committal and also vague. Not specifically this but "things like that".

And we'd expect whatever "things like that" to be crown store items with ridiculous prices.
    Faulgor wrote: »
    17) Any plans to add new difficulty setting for dungeons?
Rich: For veteran players dungeons might be easy, but we have huge gap in skill in the game. That's why there are opt-in HMs, veteran generally easier than older dungeons. Mike's team is looking at completion rates all the time and adjusting based on that.

    LIE

There isn't a skill gap amongst players.

There's a fun gap in content.

The fact that they're still desperately pushing this lie is actually extremely worrying.

This is precisely what killed Wildstar.
    Faulgor wrote: »
    19) Any plans for new assistants that aren't just reskins?
Rich: Have to walk a fine line with this because they still want people to go back to town.

I've often suggested that is the reason for that lack.

    Nice to have confirmation.

    This would be very welcome.

At the moment it's just such a huge gamble.

I personally haven't been ripped off yet but the few times I've traded gold for crowns I've basically accepted that I could be pissing away huge sums of gold. So I've not done it much.

I have more than a little programming experience, and it doesn't take much to know that it could be done securely extremely easily. They just have to want that. I suspect they haven't, because their strong preference would be for people to pay them for crowns rather than buy things with gold.

But their having made this statement is a good sign that this will be fixed.

Very little to get excited for, sadly.

I think that we can definitely expect nerfs on the horizon for Divines and (randomly?!) Sturdy because popular things must always be nerfed instead of simply improving unpopular things.

Comment on Werewolf vs. Vampires was truly incomprehensible and seemingly out-of-touch.

And then the bit about Mythic items "needing to be applicable in all situations" which is, I guess, the design philosophy that gets us boring, brute-force sets like New Moon Acolyte rather than sets with powerful but niche appeal.

So, the one take away from Rich's interview is that, at least as far as these questions are concerned, ZOS really isn't doing anything this year.

    In summary, for this year...
    • Gear setups: No
    • Loot cap increases: No
    • Werewolf changes: A few
    • Housing building items: No
    • CP system revamp: No
    • Battleground group queue: No
    • Guild improvements: No
    • Characters in homes: No
    • New dungeon difficulty: No
    • New assistants: No
    • Group quest content: No
    • Armor trait changes: No

    Continuing from my previous post.

And let's say hypothetically that they nerf divines, because muh representation, do you think that dps players will suddenly start running anything else on the small pieces even if you nerfed divines to like 4% instead of 7.5%?

Obviously no! Because 0.5% more dps is still better than 0.

They also made the point about how weapon traits are more balanced.... Well duh, what is the point of a weapon compared to the point of an armor? If you think about it for more than half a second you will quickly realize why the are "more balanced".

Because the point of a weapon is simply to increase your general dps or healing output, so you don't really need to worry about making traits for anything other than damage/healing increase. Aside from defending, which is quite strange for a weapon.

So what are you going to do to balance armor traits? Are you gonna nerf divines which isn't gonna do anything? Are you gonna make all traits about dps/healing output which is gonna ruin some setups one way or another? The reason why divines is so prominent especially in small pieces is simply due to enchants not giving the full value, do that, and infused will immediately become viable for small pieces, maybe even bis.

As i said before some of the traits really need some looking at, because they are really just bad.

At the end of the day there will always be a bis.

And i didn't even talk about cp, because oh boy. Iv'e already talked ad naseum about what they should do about it in my opinion to *** off the least amount of players, and maximize overall fun/enjoyment.

Overall id rate this interview as usual pr stuff, yes we are working on something but not really, thanks for your money. Compared to the interview that blizzard Ion had with Sloot a few days ago, this pales in comparison. And while not all the answers were satisfactory at least there they had serious answers, here it's just the usual, may or may not do, we are working on it kind of ***.

It does not surprise me that 40% of players fail Darkshade 2. Until you figure out that stacking on the healer and making them pass the heal check on the poison phase is more effective, its a PITA trying to coordinate everyone using those levers.

Umm. Based on my experiences PUGing random vet dungeons on my tank... if I get Darkshade 2, there's a 50/50 chance that it'll fail. And if it fails, it's always on Grobull.

If a group can make it past Grobull, they will probably kill the final boss.

I actually have better clearance rates with vet DLCs than vet Darkshade 2 when I queue as a tank (if I queue as a DD, then Darkshade 2 is no issue since it can be soloed... just not if you're a tank that does no damage). Why? Because DLCs are gated content. You need 300 CP in order to queue, you need to be invested enough in the game to either subscribe or buy the DLC. And most people are scared of DLC dungeons. So, usually, if I get a DLC dungeon, the quality of the group is generally much better than the quality of the group that I get with a base-game dungeon. For most base-game dungeons, that's fine... but then there's Grobull...

I think the answer to question 8 means "if you are using building blocks, you consume your furnishing limit and will be able to place less items in your house".

It could as well be related to the way in which items in the house are stored - I don't want to make guesses about how they did it, but it could be that they can run out of id-space, because it wasn't chosen big enough for a massive amount of items. So basically not a matter of room in the house or about furniture slots, but deeper down in the very way in which they store these things.
