✭Seriously, when was the last time ZOS made a major update that WASN'T a nerf and worked properly?
We had round 1 of the AOE nerfs about a year ago. Those worked perfectly.
We had round 2 of the AOE nerfs about 3 months after that. Those worked perfectly.
But the first attempt at fixing the Dungeon Finder failed. As did the second attempt. Then we had a "complete rebuild" of the Dungeon Finder and that failed. Then we had a full round of "stress testing" and the final fix and that failed completely. Recently we had the last fix and that has...wait for it...failed.
That brings us to the "performance improvements" earlier this year that did the exact opposite and made performance worse. PVP is in the worst shape it's been in since launch and high-end PVE is close behind. Meanwhile, all these new bugs and broken gameplay are piled ON TOP of the 5+ year old bugs that haven't been addressed. Hell, I ran a vet trial last week from the base game that had a game-breaking bug forcing us to restart from the beginning. I looked at the forums and that bug was first posted in 2014!!!!
So given years of history, you can bet this massive round of patches will be: successful nerfs and game-breaking performance fails.Edited by krachall on April 20, 2020 5:58PM5 -

LOl not to mention this last patch when they realized the AOE nerfs were too harsh and expensive resource-wise, then reverted the cost of every AOE ability back to reasonable numbers. All of this despite people in the PTS saying the AOE nerfs were too extreme the first time.1 -

Same here. 6 years fly fast, and when you look at everything the game has introduced, it's quite healthy. Hopefully perfs will get better soon.2 -
