Been subbed from the beginning and will usually buy crowns when on sale.

For the most part, my game is fine. The loading screens are a bit longer than they used to be. There are occasional lag spikes and glitches, but in PvE Id say 95% of the time everything is as it should be.

In Cyrodiil, the number drops a bit with lags and random load screens in weird places but still at least 85% of time things are smooth and issue-free. *will say no more as I suddenly feel the silent glower of many PvPers upon me*

I suppose if I were on PC-EU more often I might feel differently. I dont know whats going on with that server, but I feel for them as it seems that ZOS far too often puts the players' patience and loyalty to the test. I hope their problems get fixed really soon.

Last time I spent real money on the game was to buy Elsweyr CE.

The current state of the game is unacceptable. PVP in Cyro is a totally broken and unplayable mess. PVE dungeons and trials lag too. Dungeon finder is bugged. NPCs and player models take too much time to load (the typical black figures a ZOS employee talked about in an event that "were going to be fixed" after the performance updates). Plus numerous bugs that have been in the game for years and still not fixed.

Above all, the constant nerfs and changes in gameplay make creating a build a nightmare. The moment you ve decided what sets and skills to use and spent hours farming them, ZOS comes and ruins it all. After the last update where Molag Kena got a reduction in ability costs penalty from 20% to 8%, I farmed vWGT for medium helm (for my pvp bow NB) and spend 100 transmute crystals to get both pieces changed to Divines and 16 Dreugh Wax to make them Legendary, only to find out that a month later, the weapon bonus will be removed and replaced by cost reduction and weapon dmg penalty. We are talking about an Update A that buffs a set and a following Update B that obliterates it within 1-2 months. Will you give me back my 100 crystals, ZOS and the gold spent on 16 Dreugh Wax??

Next time I spent real money on this game will be when the game becomes a stable, satisfying experience. Till then, not one more cent from me.

Maybe a touch to much generalization. Nothing is black or white. But the game is ok. Otherwise i would not pay and play.

    Still ESO+
If I drop that sub, it means I don't have enough space anymore for making money to buy potions/gather mats for potions.
I like to play all of my characters, which means I also need their inventory.

Hard to say really. I haven't spent any money on ESO since Christmas, but that's because there hasn't been anything I wanted to buy. I don't buy dungeon DLC because I don't play dungeons enough for it to be worth it, and there hasn't been much in the crown store which appeals to me, so I still have over 6,000 crowns left from last time I bought them. I was considering Forgemaster Falls, but then real life got busy and by the time I got around to it the house had been removed, so I guess that's out of the question now.

I would get Greymoor but since it's just a zone and story with none of the extra features previous chapters have had (basically it's a story DLC) it seems overpriced and there's no incentive for me to get it on day one. So I'll wait until either a sale or when I'm more caught up on the stuff I've already got and ready for a new zone.

I wouldn't say I'm unhappy with the game, and I'm certainly not consciously boycotting it. But it's increasingly seemed like ZOS don't want money from players like me (and maybe don't want players like me in their game) because I used to spend a lot on this game buying zone DLC, costumes which look like clothing the NPCs would wear, pets and mounts which look like actual animals, hair styles etc. Now I'm down to 1 DLC per year and only really buying the occasional furnishing.

I am not exactly in the same situation (I love dungeons!), but quoting this as I think your tone matches most closely to where I am at. I need a poll choice for "I'm spending significantly less in the game / Unhappy with the direction of some of the decisions." I am not spending money in the Crown store anymore, I haven't pre-ordered the next DLC, but because I am still logging in I still have ESO+ for its benefits like the craft bag. Year-long story arc is boring imo, removal of group queuing in BGs was a crime, no clear vision for the healing role, few QoL improvements, more "greedy" changes like evolving event tickets to be essentially required for bad RNG in the Murkmire event as opposed to its original intent which was to provide an option to obtain cool mounts OUTSIDE of the Crown Store. I am tired of being actively disappointed with announced changes. And honestly, I LOVE this game -- I'm not looking for ways to pick it apart.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

It would be interesting but we will not find the actual answer in a poll. Those who say they are not spending money and still playing the game will answer the same in a poll. Heck, some will probably choose an answer that they are not spending money thinking it will sway Zos.

Most everything I do in the game works fine. Smooth as butter. I just re-subbed for another month on my pc account. It works fine. I’m getting some good value for my money.

There’s some issues traveling in to trials on my PS4 account. That I also sub on. That would be swell if they fix it. But it eventually works, so I guess that’s kind of ok.

The only real way of seeing whether people back up their complaints with actual deeds is to ask them if they are still playing. Whether they pay or not is fairly irrelevant, if they're still playing then the game is still enjoyable enough for them to do so notwithstanding their complaints.

I’m new to the game. Playing on console and finally got XB1 as a gift to myself this Christmas after not gaming for probably the last 8+ years though I play several mobile games that are serious p2w. Micro transactions are hell and after working for one of this games for years and hating that model but loving the pay I finally broke free of my NDA and can play whatever I want again!

But I digress. I’ve been zipping through games at an alarming rate since x-mas but none of them are able to retain my interest like ESO. FO4 held me for a while because despite all its bugs it was a pretty solid game. I thought about going backwards and playing my way through TES but decided to dip my toes into this game instead despite going back and forth for several days reading reviews online. What finally got me to jump in was my uncle. He and I were gaming together for ages and for most of my childhood. Have fond memories of calling into his computer so we could play DOOM together. So on the advice of a live person that I actually know I am here now.

I decided to buy the latest edition with all the goodies right out of the box. I’m the type that if I go all in up front I will likely play through any flaws as long as the content is good. So far the content IMO is excellent. Having come back to console from mobile gaming the “a la carte” model of buying the pieces of the game you want here works better to me. Some of those mobile games players are paying tens of thousands for a 1-2% bump. It’s crazy and playing at the advanced levels where everyone copycats the elite players is stupid expensive.

I took an ESO+ sub as well to more easily dip my toes into content and also because I knew up front inventory management was hell. It’s gives me access to a good chunk of content also so I can play what I like and try other stuff without it becoming too stale. Life as a mostly solo player is pretty good to me in game. I’ll dip my toes into group play and PvP once I am sufficiently leveled and have mechanics down.

So to sum up, satisfied paying customer here. But also understand how those of you that have been playing the game for 3+ years can get fed up. I’m down to 1 mobile game that I have been playing for 4 years that I can’t just let go of yet despite to weekly cash grab/grind. Easy to see both sides of the coin here.

I already spent money (mistakenly) on year of eso+ last October, expires around the perfect time when a well known game comes and takes me away for a while.
Go away coronavirus, don't delay this one!

But I haven't spent money on crowns since the last sale, I know there's one starting tomorrow, but I'm not sure I can invest anymore into broken promises. I might be coming to PC, but at this point probably just for pts. I'm no longer impatiently waiting for Greymoor, honestly, I'm sad about that because I used to be excited about new chapters. 5 years of this game...kinda feels wasted at this point.

People are still playing the game, lots of people. Despite the current performance. While dueling, I see many peeps with the new crown store items.

So that answers your questions with actual deeds about ESO. The game is going to move forward, whether you play or not. Also, many people are having fun. :)

    For myself
*I canceled ESO+ but that was due to the current situation.

*I have bought the most recent dlc.

*Been playing the game since I got muh free monkey for testing. With that said, I still play on my multiple accounts daily.

*The game had been close on balance many times. Though I would be remiss in not saying that balance is just *** bs anyway.

That is coming from both a business point of view and wanting to keep classes fun, as well as, combat.

Just look at the current burst combos and sets that players both use and wear. It is a sad joke same as the performance in PvP is.

This is why it is no wonder ZOS are going all into vampys, to bring in the fresh money. Simply put, people that are having fun, whine less than people that are sad over dying in a game.

ZOS can cater to happy people pretty easily which is what they have done and are doing.

I'm curious. Since you don't PvP or group up, (so, I'm guessing, NO trials and FEW vet dungeons-no DLC vet dungeons at any rate). What exactly do you do in game? I'm straight up curious.

Heh Jump you are forgetting that this game has an Extreme amount of general PvE quests and general content (Crafting, Achievement chasing, etc) that can occupy a lot of ppls gametime.
Majority of this content is unaffected by current issues.

Not for ZOS. Quite the opposite, it is the only thing that matters.

Games are made to make money, it is the goal. People having fun, game being popular, etc. is not the goal, just means to achieve it. If you can make money without spending resources to make the game fun, you shouldn't spend them until that stops working. It would be a stupid decision to do otherwise. Like they say, "it's business, baby".

I've stopped financially supporting this game anymore outside of a subscription and the chapter expansion because of the increasingly predatory monetization of the game. That's a far more onerous issue than any of the performance/whatever issues people whine about on these boards, IMHO.

I continue to do the monthly ESO, I dont enter the realm of pvp too often, so my daily experience will vary wildly compared to an avid cyro pvper, but for what I do daily in the game (daily crafting writs, undaunted pledges/vet dungeon gear grind, and some trials a couple times a week) I am definitely getting my 16$ a month's worth as I personally have not run into any issues with the things I do!

I’m happy to throw money at the game for the amount of entertainment it gives me. I only solo PvE, I never PvP or do dungeons, so I can not comment on that. I play on a big TV in 4K with controller. This game works pretty well considering I’m still on a 9series and 4770k. I love the look of the game and I like building outfits and just slowly wondering around this massive world etc... partly because skooma helps to rose- tint my world.

There are places where I’d like improvement:
Controller on the menu screens, mixed with access to the other options only available by using M&K.

I’m sure my opinion would be different if I were someone who had to worry about the lag etc far more. However, it suits my requirements, so I’m pretty happy.
