Worry? No. But I'm cynical and this is a major update of unprecedented proportions and it's ZOS, so I expect there to be issues. Which is why I'm putting off downloading for a day or two at the very least, see how other people are doing.

The 2 things that concern me are - How will this effect Steam users. Will there be an issue with the launcher and Steam playing nice together or one or the other failing.

And 2, does this mean, Steam users now will no longer be able to use the old .exe trick to launch ESO.

Apart from that, is ZOS so everything or anything could happen.

We will just have to wait and see.

I suspect there will be some initial hang ups the first day due to traffic but I'm hoping there's some positive movement in the right direction on performance.

I am not scared, however I am worried about my addons. I want them to work, because I love collecting books, and my goal to collect them all. Some of the books are bugged, and if I miss the chance to collect them because Lorebook addon not working properly, I will be sad. Also, I am too used to change sets and skillsets with one click now) I hope I would be able to do most of that redownload, if I simply leave my pc for the night.

<shrug> Not really. I'll probably set the launcher up before I leave for work that morning. My setup is decent; I expect more likely than not, even if there are some issues, it will be done by the time I get home.

Worst case scenario, even if it takes 2-3 days, it will be resolved eventually, inevitably, and I have other things I both want and need to do in the meantime. If nothing else, it might be the motivation I need to finally finish my taxes! :D

Worried? No. When If ZOS breaks the game beyond repair, I'll just spend more time playing Real Life Horse Simulator (TM). The graphics are way better, the immersion is flawless, and the achievements are far more rewarding. The micro transactions are killer tho. $350 a month for boarding? $800 for just a starter horse? $600 for a saddle? Totally worth it tho.

Better stock up on canned food, water, batteries and if you can buy a generator. Monday is just around the corner. Oh ya, don't forget to fill your car with gasoline.

Nope, I’ll let the uninstaller do its thing and leave it. The patch is going to kill the main fun thing I did in the game (BGs with friends) so there’s no point in playing after Monday.

The game has had less and less content every year, and the content it has had is formulaic, repetitive, and uninteresting. Other games have better PvP with more interested devs and don’t have the same performance issues. The same goes for PvE.

You playing BGs with your friends was making it a whole lot of unfun for anyone not playing in pre-made groups.

So I hope you find a better game to play.

I’m not sure why I’d play a MMO if not to play with people since it’s a multiplayer game and all...

I'm a little bit worried. I am getting a new knee next Monday so not really concerned about the game. I'm sure all the bugs and everything will be worked out before I am able to start playing again. First week or two or three after the new knee sitting in front of a computer is frowned upon.

I thought it was a pretty dumb idea to schedule a major update requiring a total game reload during an Event. Then I came to the conclusion that they are purposely doing this to help stress test the new update during an Event where they assume more people will be logged on. The problem with this though is that I was attempting to apply logic to how ZoS does things.

I still think it’s dumb to try to do this all at the same time and do believe there will likely be issues with this forced total reload. However there is a silver lining here. More time spent during the reload means less time standing around in Murkmire trying to get loot to drop. ;)

I’m not a big fan of this ‘Event’ but I do hope and look forward to much better game performance after the reload. I’m also hoping that ZoS has not oversold this reload as game changing, no pun intended. Worst case scenario is possible, long problematic downloads for people, weeks of emergency patching causing large amounts of downtime, and no better performance after all. I do hope this is wrong, but it is possible.

    Get a better connection...

My connection is great. I am worried about ZOS being ready for the amount of download going on at the same time.

How would it be any different than any other content release?

Having to re-download the ENTIRE GAME for starters.
