They've addressed concerns about drops being on when streamers might not have downloaded it yet, but have not addressed concerns about this download being during an event. They also have barely addressed concerns about the tickets being all rng, instead of guaranteed. Seems legit

I know it’s a “classic” but honestly there are much better trilogies out there that I doubt I’d ever re read lotr again. (I have read it many times already)

✭✭✭✭✭I already kinda accepted that I will miss at least one day of the event (3 Event Tickets) and hopefully only one day and not more. With my internet speed it will take somewhere around 14 - 15 hours to download + 0.5 - 1 h to install. So by the time it will be finished it will be 4 - 5 am. Will keep my PC on for the night and pause Windows updates just in case.
btw. Be sure to free some disk space. Download is somewhere around 60 - 70 gigs, but for the install process you will need 2x more space for unpacking and installing the files (For the short time you will have both downloaded files and installed files). It's not a big deal for me, I'll just do something else instead (whether that's playing another game or something else entirely, it depends on what I feel like at the time). I know it's frustrating when there's something you really want to be doing and you can't, but like I said it's not a big deal because at the end of the day it's just a computer game.

Yeah but there is a huge difference between PTS and the live game. Least of all to mention is the number of people that are going to be suddenly downloading a 35 GB patch and the what 100+GB base game at this point? The servers alone are going to struggle to just feed out the data, let alone support players.0 -
