I have a budget gaming mouse with only 2 extra game useful buttons.

It is time for me to find something better and I ask you all to share your experiences with your current gaming mouse and thoughts on which mouse you would like to have and why.

Thanks.

I have the wired version, I plan on getting the wireless as well, for when I need to go mobile and use my laptop. I like it that much.

Any mouse with 12 buttons on the side. The one most comfortable for you. I prefer the Razer Naga Trinity which comes with 3 side plates, including the one with 3 buttons on the side. Again, what is confortable.

I also suggest a wired most for two reasons. First, if you live in a populated area you can get interference. It can happen any place but more common I dense areas. I used to use wireless devices and found that every once in awhile a skill would not fire on the first press. Ditched the wireless mouse and keyboard and never had an issue since. But this is a personal choice.

When I first started using a mouse with 12 buttons on the side I started with only 3 buttons. After getting used to that I added another row of 3 until I was using all 12. For ESO I have my skils, bar swap, potions, ultimate and more keybound to the mouse buttons.

    Good luck.

I also use a Razer Naga Trinity with the 12 button panel, I only have one arm that works so I play ESO entirely with a mouse (occasionally smash the space bar to jump  ) .

Take a bit of getting used to but works well.

I had the Razer Naga Trinity and now I tried the Logitech G600 and I am not going back to Naga the Logitech G600 is a better mouse with better warranty especially for people with bigger hands. But in your case anything will do after a mouse that only has 2 buttons..

Personally I didn't get on with the traditional 12 button rodents that many suggest... I have big ish hands and the buttons are too fiddly.

    Roccat Nyth!!!

You can customise the button layout how you want... I have 6 large ones which is perfect for ESO.

You also have a choice of sidepods to make the mouse bigger or smaller depending on size of your hands

My advice would to try some on store which have best hand-feel and weight. Some prefer light, some heavier. Depens a bit if ESO/mmo are only type of games you play. Mouse good for ESO would be awful for fps. Hand size also varies, I have found most gaming mouses too small which results in awkard position.

Extra buttons can be nice but if you have two working arms, not really need. I personally tried "12 mmo mouse" (can't recall name, was razer I think. Back when wow was good) and found it terrible to use since I play a lot different games.

On general advice, on my experiences.. Stay away from razer-products. Their quality and durability is not that good, maybe pretty but I prefer something that I don't have to replace parts/buy new one in under year.

My mouse has 5 extra - mount, jump, target & untarget...forget what on the 5th button. Rest is keyboard. Skills r t f g v. X roll. Spacebar swap weapon. C bash. Q synegy. Z crouch. B ultimate. Tab potion. I find this places alot less stress on mouse hand compared to when skills were the 5 buttons.

I'm using a normal standard Logitech 3 button mouse, as in 2 big buttons and a mouse wheel in the middle lol

Absolutely nothing special about it as well. Is there really a huge advantage to having a gaming mouse in eso? Genuine question. Is it meant to make rotations, LA weaving and AC easier?

Global cd and server lag, so no.

Response and feedback differences between mouses can be massive but on MMOs it is very hard to put in use. CPI difference is irrelevant beause mouse-movement is used for camera.
On games like counter-strike, you can feel it but on ESO hardly. (Or perhaps it is because my mind and hand is "used" to lag) Or so I would say when it was relevant to me decade or so ago, now as I am older and casual it is hard for me to notice those differences.

I use a Kensington Expert Mouse. Wich is actually a track ball, with a ball the size you would normally see on a pool table. I have been using one for ages, but most people can't play with it.

    I have a Redragon M908 MMO mouse with 12 side-buttons.

I don't use all 12, just five for my skills because I have a Razer Orbweaver for my other hand, but I am still trying to get used to using those extra buttons on the mouse. I have a tendency to fat-finger those teeny little things and it ain't goin' well.

I use a Logitech Hero and it’s great.

I also use a PS4 controller (obv not at the same time).

I’d recommend trying out a variety of gaming mice if that’s at all possible.

Razer Naga Hex V2 or Trinity as was already mentioned. I don't see a need for the 12-button version in ESO. Also I don't have any hands on experience with Trinity so not sure how good is the clamping mechanism for side panels.

It is easier to weave when both actions (skill and LA) are done by the same hand. And, yes after getting used to it I prefer performing a rotation using only mouse buttons. Also has the benefit of giving you an option to bind some extra things like one-button bash/break free on. And PvP guys often say that a gaming mouse allows them to maintain ability to move in any direction no matter which skill are they using.

Redragon is an affordable MMO mouse. I couldn't play this game without it (I find it too restricting using one hand for both movement and abilities)

I love my Corsair Scimitar Pro. Had a Redragon but it's software was glitchy. Corsair was about $45 and the Redragon was about $30 -- both far cheaper and better deals than Razer in my opinion.

P.S. And even if you don't want to map skills to the side buttons they are WONDERFUL for addon keybindings!

I would recommend buying the Red Dragon M908 as your first mmo mouse because, 1. Its cheap 2. Its reliable imo (used one for years) 3. It can be a learning curve with 12 buttons on the side. This way you can decide if a mmo mouse is for you then you can look into the more expensive mice like the Razer Naga.

As already said, any 12 button model will do.

I myself use and would recommend the Razer Naga Trinity.

The fact it has three plate options with different button layouts just makes it ridiculously versatile, and as such, is not bad for any game. Of course MMOs are where it shines.

If you don't mind NOT using a typical "MMO" Mouse and have hands on the large side I highly suggest the Logitech G502 Mouse. All versions are fantastic with the Hero wired version my favorite.

I've been using the G502 for over five years and it's perfect for me.

my wife uses Naga Trinity now and it is a really well-built mouse (Naga v1 and v2 before)

but i'm playing with Corsair Scimitar where i can adjust the side panel placement.

i've tried a lot of crazy things including R.A.T 7mmo (fragile, disgusting quality)

and in from my experience i can say that if you have any chance to test how the mouse

fits your hand before buying it - just do it

Seems to be differing opinions. I guess it's based on personal preference. What you say makes sense to me though, it would probably be easier for me to do it all on one hand. I might look into getting a better mouse at some point. Thanks.
