United States, some of the government offices and schools do. I work at a newspaper and part of our building is rented out to some local university offices. When I pulled in this morning, the parking lot was so empty I had to double-check my phone to make sure it wasn't Sunday (even though I knew it couldn't be because I'd watched trader flip last night, which is always Sunday).
If you had watched EU trader flip last night you would have flipped ;p

To be fair MLK day should be a national holiday in the US.
It is.
More than just government takes the day off, many utilities do as well. Most larger businesses will if it does not impact the core business functions. I work for a very large utility (dozens of large power plants) and MLK is a hard day off, heck veterans day and the day we vote are both floaters but MLK is one of the core off days.
Voting should also be a holiday, forcing people to work during that is just silly.

I'm sure there are some people who aren't working, but the vast majority of the country is still working today. Kids might be out of school, yes. But pretty much everyone else is working, so calling it a holiday like that means something in the US is a joke. Capital greed will always win.

Many companies will give some time off to vote, or allow for an alternate work schedule on voting days. I don't know that a person needs a whole day off just for that, though. Especially with early voting.

So to the best of my German ability, they've had to pull pc/eu down again and they'll provide updates when they have some?
@The_Saint is that correct?
