Wow! Yeah - this is all about people complaining about trivialities.There is nothing wrong with someone stating that they pay for something and expect to be able to use that thing. More to the point, there is nothing wrong in pointing out that part of what we pay for is someone with expertise to look after things such as servers, client software and other things related to what is being paid for.
There are several things that can be learned from the story of the princess and the pea. The princess originally looks anything but royal - looks can be decieving. The prince is, arguably, a spoiled brat persuing an idealistic and unrealistic dream. There's probably more but it is, afterall, a short story.
Is the game trivial? Absoloutely. Is our free time trivial? Mostly - in the scheme of all things. Are people self entitled little princesses or spoiled brats for venting their frustration? Not at all. For many, playing ESO, or any other game, will be a luxury - their 'matresses' so to put it. The pea or peas (varients on the story) causing some discomfort could be likened to the cost in time or money the game takes up or the poor service some players seem to percieve. Yet, for any discomfort, people continue to play and adore the game. When ZOS / ZENI / BETH seem to show little or no respect for their players, they are percieved as being somewhat like the queen not seeing royalty* and acting spitefully.
I could go on but this is boring me. Keep complaining about people complaining - it's good for us all.
*We paying players are not royalty but we are essential to the gaming company - without our money and loyalty they would fail.

Decallom✭It worked fine (more or less, a bit longer loading screens than normal but that's it) for an hour or so after maintenance... Stuck in an infinite loading screen again now. (And if the issues of the past couple of days persist, means that won't be able to login once I decide to kill that game session.)0
