The destro passives to seperate fire ice shock are rediculous. Why should a magsorc who is a lightning specialist slot a freaken fire staff instead of a shock staff. God damn these developers *** me off.
Of course, I personally would love it if they did give us multiple options... my "best scenario" would be them adding a whole "warding staff" skill line, giving Ice back to DPS and slow... and then adding more staff flavors altogether. A necromancer-cyan "coldfire" destro staff that does less damage, but as oblivion type. A bile-green "disease" heaing staff that does less healing, but adds some DoT to all damage. A purple-black "warlock" destro staff that dues pure magic damage. a red-black "blood magic" healing staff that does less damage, but with lifedrain effect. A brown (nix hound spit) "acid" destro staff that does added DoT damage and maybe debuffs armor. Even the warding staves could come in various flavors... indigo-turquise "alteration" as basic, maybe green-brown "nature" with less defense but longer durations, and maybe a multicolored "illusion" type that does add some mental effects to many skills?
I really think it would be such fun to have a wider range of weapons to choose from for magica characters too... even if it was only more staff flavors - and I obviously want way more then that as evident in that discussion I always link to!
No. My mag tank warden enjoys his ice staff very much, thank you.
Of course, it's a half baked solution, I'd much rather have a proper magicka tanking line than his half baked thing, but it's the best we have so far, so it shouldn't be remove without something else, something better, to replace it.
I've had my fill of brutish, not-thought-about feature removal with the Bosmer's stealth, thank you very much.
