Not passive aggressive, or tongue in cheek, say 1 nice thing about ESO. I know it’s hard, I struggle with positivity toward Zos as well.


I’ll start:

Its nice how beautiful the elves can be, past games in the franchise made elves very alien.

I still remember the first time I came across a Dolmen.

I was looking at it from a distance, and just as I was about to run away...to my suprise Worm Cultists appeared.

Then something amazing happened.

A rend was made in the sky, a circle appeared, and chains came out, connecting the stone circle to the sky!

I killed the Cultists thinking that was the end, but no. Dramora fell from the rend in the sky, in long smoking pillars of fury.
And I couldn't kill them alone...


Still to this day one of the coolest things I've ever experienced in gaming...💜

I must piggy back on the dolman. The first one I saw drop out of the sky with loud clanking and hanks of chain the size of Cincinnati wound up all tight I smiled and said to myself, "Holy shank, I can't wait to see that again." I also remember thinking, I just soloed everything else in open world, this probably isn't any differe.....splat. I then watched someone else come in and lay down the law. It was then I targeted them and said to myself WTF is 810cp?

ZOS devs fundamentally willing to do things that are unpopular now that are nonetheless necessary. People don't remember how bad their favorite patch was. Too often it is simply the time their favorite class was meta combined with pure nostalgia.

I'm one of the few people that maintain that nerf patches are a part of good game design. Powercreep is incredibly hard to avoid and is initially popular with players. Everyone loves getting something for free. The far end of powercreep is a game that basically has God Mode enabled and that's bad game design. Nerf patches stall the progression to that point.

I don't believe that every nerf is the best. A game with ever decreasing power would not only be a game only masochists would love but would suffer something like the reverse. Both increasing power and decreasing power can ultimately limit the kind of content that can be created, as well as limit the lifespan of content being a fun difficulty, and finally both are ultimately bad for player's ultimate enjoyment.

TLDR: Nerfs are good even if not every nerf is perfect

I will frequently grill slices of fresh pineapple next to various pork cuts throughout the summer. On charcoal and woodchips to really kick up those fiery flavors. If that is an affront to God, then Hail Satan!
