But the way it used to be, the rare encounter with an enemy NPC kept things interesting, creating a constant sense of danger but without making things too frustrating.
A really hopping IC is a completely different experience. It's probably greater enjoyment for a greater number of people, so it's totally selfish of me to be against it. But it's less fun for me, so there we are.

That doesn't have anything to do with it becoming free, though.
Until they get ganked, then they avoid it like the plague.MasterSpatula wrote: »Darkmage1337 wrote: »So what you're saying is you wish IC had 4+ campaigns, like it used to, instead of 2.

Making it free means more people have access means potentially more people in there.

Nice i guess for newer players and those who do not sub.
But just another dlc people have paid for in the past and now they're giving it for free. Never a good move imo.

What a waste of money.

even people with access there already are avoiding it. It's no fun to lose half of one hour worth of farming in three seconds. Maybe if they reduce the losing to 15%, that'd be better

Still not going to IC, even they pay me Crowns for it.

People, this DLC is four years old, come on
Yeah, it either needs to be reduced - but 15% is too low IMO, maybe 25% or so - and/or there needs to be a mechanic that caps telvar gains from player kills depending on how much telvar the attacker is carrying. It's no fun to lose half of one hour worth of farming in three seconds. Maybe if they reduce the losing to 15%, that'd be better

"The Imperial Celebration Event begins on Thursday, September 5, at 10:00AM EDT and runs until Monday, September 16, at 10:00AM EDT."
"Lucky for you, beginning in tandem with the event, this DLC game pack will be completely free! That’s right, from now on (and for the foreseeable future), you can acquire the Imperial City DLC game pack for zero crowns from the DLC section of the Crown Store. This includes access to the Imperial City zone and story, including the sewers, city districts, and both the White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison dungeons."

IC does not add much value to ESO+.
A lot of hate for IC but its the only reason I sitll play this game. The guild I am part of has IC runs every weekend and its the only reason I am in that guild. Its the only place I make gold. It provides the best lag free PVP experience. Occasionally zerg vs zerg but more often small scale groups or ganking. The dungeons are good and the sewers has center event which I still go and solo from time to time for the challenge and telvar has provided a lot of fun. Also a couple great spots for making gold/telvar and leveling up in the sewers but people like me will occasionally roll through there and take half your stones.

We don't need any more petty PvE'ers complaining and crying about The Imperial City's design.
If you don't like it, then don't participate.
It's that simple.
