When the event is celebrating the Thieves' guild and Dark Brotherhood, then the rewards are probably not going to go to the good guys.

If you don't like PvP, you don't participate in things like Midyear Mayhem, and you don't get those Event tickets.

If you don't like dungeons/trials, you don't participate in those events, and you don't get those Event tickets.

If you don't like criminal acts.... see where I'm going with this?

Working as intended. (I've missed a number of tickets from skipping on events that I didn't want to do. It happens. There's more tickets given out than are needed, unless you're trying for the "Must Get Everything!" OCD award.)

Havent seen an option to scam citizens of Vvardenfell in Morrowind event or steal from crafting boxes in boring af anniversary event. Why should you have an option of being goody two shoes in THIEVEs guild event than?

Make a new character that is specifically evil, that's what I did.

Most of my characters are opportunistic thieves so they don't join TG and they aren't assassins so they don't join DB, they may kill but only to protect the innocent. I have one character that doesn't steal and only kills in self-defense.

I ended up creating a character that loves to kill and steal, she's joined both TG and DB, she may even turn to the dark side someday and become a vampire.

There's no murder or death in eso. It's just a series of stage plays. That's why all these people just respawn and most of the worlds items can't be interacted with. It's a set. I did this play with the dark brotherhood actors last year. Don't worry, they're fine. We'll do it again and again. It's just pretend, even within the context of the video game.

Exactly this. I'm bored already sitting in a Hiding Spot waiting for a painfully slow patrol to pass by. I did all this content when they released it, got fed up with all the bugs and inconsistencies, don't do it anymore. So to be forced back into it for event tickets (when the scheduled event should have been the PvP one, which they cancelled) is tedious.

You can just treat it like a delve and kill your way through. Makes them go by quickly.

I got a bad feeling that this "event" was purposefully selected to motivate people to buy tickets from vendor instead of doing those quests/sacraments. And I pity those who don't have this DLCs and that they need to do a lot of quests with unclear order of those to open heists/sacraments. So people will buy TG/DB expecting this is better deal then buy tickets.. and then they'll stuck in those quests which are very untypical for ESO and require a lot of fuss if you are not used to stealth and that stupid mechanics with lanterns.

Just create a temporary character for the dark side events, if you don't want to do criminal acts with your existing characters.

Or, maybe this event exists to get people to play all of them game. Much like every other event in the game exists to provide players an outlet to experience content they may be missing or unaware of.

I agree completely with this ^

I have also avoided some or portions of some events as being inconsistent with either the nature skillset of my character.

That said, my good elf had no concerns last year when this came up. She found the intro-required TG quests to gain access to daily Heist missions were really no different from any other quests. Kill bad guys, recover stolen goods from bandit scum, etc. Even the Heists are no problem - she just treats them like any other 'delve' by killing bad guys and recovering the stolen loot. She ignores the timer bonus since there is too much fun loot in the dungeons to rush through but still gets her basic reward and event ticket. I will say she has not progressed the TG questline beyond those intro quests required for daily Heists so cannot speak to how the questline is beyond that.

I don’t mind this at all - have a character specifically for stealing /DB so easy to do.😈 And heists etc are to me no way as tedious as Battlegrounds. Truly loathe them. Got enough for event title thing last time on my main & do not intend to go back.

And whilst I am a bit annoyed at cancelling midyear mayhem totally understand why - it would have been FUBAR and ridiculous, causing even more moaning on here.

Also, you cannot pick and choose which parts of the game you want to participate in and then complain when they release content around those parts of the game. You made the choice to irrationally avoid this aspect of the game. That is on you, not on the rest of us who don't.

Oh noo such a heart ache boo hooo. It's your choice. Why don't you have a character that is a bad guy? If you care about good and bad in a video game where nothing is real, then you obviously care about rp'ing. So rp a character that is a thief and murderer.

I just do not understand this attitude, i see it every time it's the tg and db events, the same old complaints about not wanting to be a bad guy. It's not a sin to kill pixels on a screen for crying out loud.

It might be that the ‘nasty’ bandit you just killed was actually a decent guy who was just robbing to support his family......or fell in with the wrong crowd and now can't escape. Do you feel bad about killing him?

Or what about all the myriad wildlife I am sure you have gleefully slaughtered for nothing more than some scraps of hide & paltry gold? Those dire wolves were just trying to feed their pups......
