why stone?

the splash screen for the Alinor house shows a warm environment with a wood balustrade, walls and trim. You made the handrails wood but tyhe stairwell, walls and trim are all cold stone. No way for the player to make anything warm out of it. Why did ZOE do this?

The upstairs is the warm bit.

Best way, in my opinion, is to make the upstairs living space and the downstairs a bedroom suite, kitchen/breakfast and workspace.

Then you can not only have the majority of your living space in the warmer part of the house, with the windows and the warm wood, but you can also have your door out onto the terrace off a dining, or living, room; rather than off an overly-large bedroom.

As for the downstairs, you can warm it up quite a lot with Alinor wooden furniture, wooden sconces and Alinor/High Elf tapestries.

They did that so I can use this house as a crypt in my Daggerfall Outlook (after building the wall in front of a stairway)

I will just add that they should have put two windows, at the front of the house, downstairs.

Why they didn't do that I have no idea, but there you go.

I would also welcome more victorian wood, than gothic stone in Summerset houses. Never purchased this house as I find multiple storey buildings quite annoying. The picture below just to mention how "creative" ZOS really is with their "styles"

The Alinor Townhouse is one of my favourite ESO homes and it really can be warmed up nicely with decorating. I enjoy that one floor has a different style to the other, to change things up a bit.

Think it's more that they both draw from the same original style.

As for OP, I like the white stone contrasted with the dark wood. There’s a really warm and wooden house in Stormhaven, you might like that better

Still I would love to see more of "reference" to a general style, less of "copying" a particular piece of furniture. I don't see anything wrong in it, it just makes it lesser in my eyes.
