Is Nirn Flat?

Nirn is flat. If curvature is real (its not), then how come dwemer can dig straight tunnels?

Welcome to the Flat Nirn Society, otherwise known as The FNS.

This website is dedicated to unravelling the true mysteries of the universe and demonstrating that Nirn is flat and that Round Nirn doctrine is little more than an elaborate hoax.

The Flat Nirn Society holds that there is a difference between believing and knowing. If you don't know something, and cannot demonstrate it by first principles, then you shouldn't believe it. We must, at the very least, know exactly how conclusions were made about the world, and the strengths and weaknesses behind those deductions. Our society emphasizes the demonstration and explanation of knowledge.

Flat Nirn Theory has grown over the centuries like a wondering sojourner hungry for truth and eager for discovery. It’s changed from the learned conjectures by our ancestors of Antiquity to Victorian polymaths like Dr. Samuel Birley Rowbotham, and it even thrives today in a world-wide grassroots effort of scholarship. As people walked through the ages collecting data and knowledge, the Flat Nirn Theory walked with them, growing wise and robust in kind.

I believe it is concave. But, since the atmosphere is so thick we can't see all of it when we look up.

Damn, I always was wondering what's wrong with ESO. Now I understand, I don't feel presence of horizon in it.

Not that you can climb them in this game, so ESO’s Nirn may as well be flat

Go to the farthest part east you can and take note of the Sun's position. Then port to the farthest part west and do the same. Nirn is flat.

Personally I think Nirn might be somewhat hollow it isn't like real life earth at all and plays by different rules and the reality plays by differant rules too. Nirn would be a globe maybe with magma and mantle like earth. Seasons like we have are not as likely or might not even be possible because there is one other difference too nirn isn't as tilted as the earth. The way the moons orbit might not be really possible in real life. Unless I think the third moon gives kind of a balance. Or its just run by magical rules. I think it would be kinda cool if it was hollow. But some how I can imagine nirn the underneath portion to look much like the eye of magnus from skyrim. That is a theory of mine. There is possibly gears or code or whatever was used to make the planet possibly as well that we might not be able to see. If you go by C0da the non canon well unofficial work from one of Bethesda former developers . Give or take Nirn isn't like earth. But at the same time I don't think its flat either.
Nirn isn't stable like earth either. The towers if they were to all fall would cause Nirn and reality to fall or reset basically.. So Basically it would be a world that has towers that stabilize it. Along with other metaphorical laws of magic that make the whole thing possible. I would have to guess elder scrolls reality could also be more like the hollow earth theory in some ways. Or at least one of them. So I would think I would say it might be hollow not flat. But who knows devs could answer that one maybe. Or they can do something with that or have us go into space or something. Which I doubt we will ever see at least in eso. Maybe in a future game by Bethesda.

If you think of Lorkhan this way, if his heart was also the heart of the world and it was removed from his humaniod avatar form or whatever. And also became part of the ocean and a tower. The heart of a planet would be its core. So basically metaphysically Nirn wouldn't have a core per say that area would be void. So It would be a hollow planet because of that. Which means the Shivering Isles if Sheogorath is tied to all that. Might be at the center of nirn as well as in obvilion and at the center or the inside of the chest of the serpent constellation. Its all weird. But basically Sheogorath is the sithis shaped hole of the world. That would mean hes the embodiment of the hollow or the center of Nirn in that case. If that were true because Lorkhans heart. So I can imagine the realm of jyggalag being at the center of nirn too. Hence the hidden heaven possibly being the Shivering isles or Jyggalags realm.

If you go by all the meta lore and deep lore. Lorkhan is a crystalline given he might be tied to skyshards his heart is basically a crystal too . Jyggalag is a crystalline daedric prince the exact opposite of Lorkhan. Lorkhans death caused order to have free reign maybe and grow so powerful the other prices had to contain him in his own enantiomorph so neither one could be powerful. Without the core of Nirn or the heart of Lorkhan. Or the heart of Lorkhan being imprisoned or trapped. The Order and Chaos enantiomorph cannot end. Hence Jyggalag can't be free unless the heart is free. Hence the events of morrowind could have gave way to the events of Oblivion. . One theory I have there.

Also Talos taking Lorkhans Place could also have been the reason why Jyggalag was able to go free. Talos being basically Lorkhan but not lorkhan and also achieved chim didn't share his fate. But was created by that enantiomorph and the dwemer device. Given that Nirn wouldn't need the towers as Talos would basically take the place of the core and basically would be an alive lorkhan or resurrected Lorkhan. So even if Lorkhan doesn't have a heart. Which might be the reason why the towers have to be there and why each one has a heart stone or person or concept that has to be there for the towers to function and for nirn and mundus to function as well as keep oblivion at bay. If you go by C0da the thamer cannot destory nirn and have to destory talos in order to undo Mundus. That would be because he is the stabilizer that makes all other towers optional and because he was responsible for the defeat of the second dominion which the altmer might consider a stain. So basically their efforts would be voided because Mundus would have a functional core because of Talo's Ascension.

We'll have to ask the dragons. They get enough altitude to see any curvature, and may have the range to fly around it.
