We need more Corn Flower

So... let's see if I understand this.

The competitive gaming crowd "needs" these potions that all require this ingredient. Therefore, there should be more of this ingredient.

Does this mean other communities that "need" something to do what they do also deserve more of what they need? Because that would only be fair, right?

You competitive gamers can get your cornflower when I get my dwemer frames dropping from the sky, because that's about what they'd need to do for it to actually be possible to furnish a house in dwemer style.

I have 6 mag DD and play veteran Dungeons/Trials with my guilds/friends every week. 600 spell power potions for each mag DD. And yet I still have lots of corn flowers.

Wanna know my secret? Making tons of gold then buy A LOT of corn flowers like everyone else did.

If you feel you need more cornflower then yes you are not finding enough. Maybe other players are not using cornflower as much for their recipes hence why they have so many spare.

I suggest you go farm in the starting areas. I tend to find lots of cornflowers in those areas. Good luck !!

The Spell Power Pots are 140-200 a pop now. Corn Flower, the most expensive ingredient was selling from 280-350 before patch and now sell for 400-600. Either supply is low or someone is buying em to inflate the price.

I don't buy unless CF is below 300. No reason a vital mat should even be 300 but whatever lol. Even the large stacks, are priced higher without offering discounts lol.

Sounds like we got some WoW heads thinking they can game the market lol.

its ok, wait for the market to crash when he tries to sell the mats for 1k gold a pop because they aren't dropping as fast as they were at 300 gold lol.

People will start undercutting soon if people's claims are true about there being enough corn flowers around.

I have that many because I farm my ass off so any sale is pure profit regardless, to be honest cornflower does not sell at a high enough value for me to bother putting them on my shelf.

They drop much less than other ingredients from my experience , but then again I only get ingredients via telvar farming. which is imho the fastest way to get your hands on alchemy mats.

Maybe I'm confused about this "player run free market" thing, but "vital mat" seems like all the reason you need for the price to increase. If supply is less than demand, then price goes up.

For the price to be lower, you either need to produce a lot more stuff, or you need to convince people that they don't need to be chain-guzzling potions all the time. (i.e, increase the supply, or change the meta to make the mat less "vital"/decrease demand)

Neither, everyone uses them is all, they are overused, pots were not meant to be a constant buff. Simple supply and demand. People need to learn to marshal resources appropriately or be willing to pay for the overuse.

Regardless just becuase something becomes scarcer in the game and the price goes up means something is broke. The game has to have some effort, geesh.

LOL the average price of Spell Power pots has gone from around 120 a few weeks ago to 180 at best. That's an increase of 50%! There's obviously a supply problem going on here. ZOS needs to increase the drops of the ingredient mats so prices can decrease to something reasonable.

I'm glad I don't play any magicka builds -- currently have 300+ Corn Flower and got no use for them other than occasionally selling them. Tbh, you can always use Alliance Spell Draughts if you have some AP. You get Major Prophecy from Inner Light anyway.

You need to do more writs to be able to collect more surveys.

I did agree until I read some of the responses, so now my question is: where do you farm for cornflower? I do most of my farming in Deshaan and very, very rarely come across it. I’ve noticed a decent amount on Bleakrock Isle, but that’s a heavily-farmed zone.

Well better get ready for increase of corn flower prices when ZoS will remove 2 IC campaigns in elsweyr and increase traffic there causing farm of tel vars (which helps to control increase of flowers prices) less effective.
