While I'm happy for OP they got the mounts they wanted and have the disposable income to do so, I'd prefer not to see anyone advocate this type (and scale!!) of gambling to all the kids that play this game and browse this forum. They (the kids) should know it's not 'normal' to spend $1000 on digital goods - nor is it healthy behaviour, if you ask me.

Previously I tried sooo hard to get the plague husk horse but I didn't have the luck to get it, I think ZOS finally showed their mercy so that I finally got the Solar horse, which I think has a better look than the plague husk horse( I still want that damn green horse, i truely want)!
Ok, so on last Good Friday, I logged in to ESO and tried to get some benefits from the discounted crown packs, I purchased 5x21000 packs in the morning then bought 120 crates and opened all of them in one go, but the result was bad, ZERO R.A mounts. I didn't give up, logged in with my lucky Argonian Templar( I got the purple Psijic horse on that character), and this time I tried to open every 15 crates in one go and then purchase another 15 and repeat. Wow that was magick the first round in the 3rd crate I got the frost senche. Then I logged into another character and spent all the rest of crowns but didn't get another R.A mount, I decided to take a break.
After lunch, I went back to my lucky Argonian Templar again, purchased another 3x21000 Crown packs( The reasult in the morning: 100000 crowns=1x frost senche), in the 2nd round of 15 crate, I got the storm wolf.....Damn..........MY GOAL IS THAT BURING SHINNY GOLDEN SOLAR HORSE~~~~~Im not gonna give up!!
After spending all the crowns left, I decided to purchase one more 21000 pack and give it one last go.. It is miracle,,, the first round in the 2nd or 3rd crate I finally got the Solar horse!!!!!!!
Even though I called my favorite Argonian Templar the lucky one, but the real lucky people are those who got the R.A mount from free crates!!! They made me jealouse!!!
Ok, now it's the $1 animal feeding time, anyone?
Flexing digital objects has the be the lowest of the low.

When I see how much it costs to regularly smoke or drink alcohol in my country, I find it absurd, yet, a lot of people do it. I won't judge them, they enjoy that. I personally enjoy spending money on video game cosmetics, sometimes I feel like I spend too much, but when I seriously look at it, it's waaaay less than what I would spend on alcohol and smoking. And you know the best? These items, that are not really mine, but the property of the game editors, I can enjoy them for years, while the only memories you'll get from smoking and drinking is a poor health. Everyone spends their money how they want. And this kind of players is what makes the game available without subscription to other players. There is no such thing as real item or fake item. It's a service. Buying cosmetic is like going to a restaurant or watching a show. It has a real value. Even if someone is spending half their income in video games, it's not absurd if they really enjoy that. This money could be spent on restaurants, travels, alcohol, smoking, that's the same thing. And honestly, I don't buy crown crates unless I miss a few gems for a specific item. ESO business model is very effective, you can think whatever you want about that, but it generates a lot of money without discriminating the players who don't pay.
Calling the OP practices a gambling addiction is too much. It's not because you don't understand their interest that they are not healthy. Unless they are skipping meals for their interest, obviously.

Kids? What kids? This is a game for Mature audiences. It says so on the rating. It also says that it has "In-Game Purchases" which for sure tells the whole story.

Looking at your post and doing some rough calculations it appears that you spent just about $1500.00 dollars. Divided by three radiant mounts. I can tell you that is actually lower than the average. I have a collection of 10 radiant apex mounts. And the average I normally see is that it takes 300 sometimes more crates to get a radiant apex to appear. I read posts now and again from players saying they got one on the first crate or first 15. That is like hitting the lottery. And maybe even less likely than winning the lottery. I try to tell people if they are actually trying to get a radiant that they should plan on these odds or worse. Be ready to drop $800.00. If one drops in less then you have lucky RNG. There is always the worst story like The 1000 lost crates where someone opens that many and does not see a drop. And then the opposite where it appears in the first crate. I am somewhat skeptical reading these but do know it is possible at the extremes. So for those thinking if I get 100 or 200 crates I will hope to get a radiant. Not likely. It generally takes average of 300. I am not a lucky person when it comes to odds like these. I always see the worst RNG and somewhat plan on it. I still have seen worse and went through 500 crates for each mount on two of my radiant mounts.
Just trying to share reality from someone who has paid to play.
All the best LUCK !
🤔 no such thing exists. Lil secret.
