ZOS finally PAID ME BACK! Caught 3 R.A mounts on Good Friday!

Well, this part is very true.

OP does not own any of the mounts. Zos can alter them, delete them and do whatever they want with them. OP just may use them on this account (which he also does not own)

I will not judge OP on being an addict. If he has the money to spare on crates, it is his darn right to do so. I also find sigarettes a waste of money (you smoke it, and it's gone. All that you keep is an unhealthy lung).

I use my money on other things people might find a waste (vacation to foreign countries, plants for my garden, computergames and action figures)

But that said, i have seen a few times now people spend a lot of money or virtual items.

Starwars Galaxies had (near the end) a link with a cardgame called "Starwas Galaxies, trading card game". You could play that game seperate but also was integrated with SWG. Sometimes you could get ingame items with buying cards for that game. Sometimes very rare parts of a house from which you needed like 5 parts. People bought for 1000's of dollars of cards to get their special cloudcity, ATAT or falcon house.

Soon afterwards, when SOE got enough money through milking, they announced cancellation of the game. When they introduced the trading card game, i refuse to believe that they didn't know they were about to pull the plug.

Same with Vanguard, Sage of Heroes. The game was long dead. 5 players o the Halgar server. 200 on Telon server. Out of the blue they introduced a cash shop. Suddenly you could buy flying mounts, Galleons and other stuff most people had worked for years to obtain. There was a small influx of returning players who bought every items from the cash shop.

Soon afterwards, the game was shut down.

I don't say this is going to happen with ESO. But you cannot blame my suspicion when we have a loads of events with more rewards then most players can aquire tickets for which they then add to the crown store.

Call me wrong or a doom thinker. I am just wary of mmo's doing stuff to get more money in a pushy way.

Kids? What kids? This is a game for Mature audiences. It says so on the rating. It also says that it has "In-Game Purchases" which for sure tells the whole story.

After lunch, I went back to my lucky Argonian Templar again, purchased another 3x21000 Crown packs( The reasult in the morning: 100000 crowns=1x frost senche), in the 2nd round of 15 crate, I got the storm wolf.....Damn..........MY GOAL IS THAT BURING SHINNY GOLDEN SOLAR HORSE~~~~~Im not gonna give up!!

After spending all the crowns left, I decided to purchase one more 21000 pack and give it one last go.. It is miracle,,, the first round in the 2nd or 3rd crate I finally got the Solar horse!!!!!!!
Even though I called my favorite Argonian Templar the lucky one, but the real lucky people are those who got the R.A mount from free crates!!! They made me jealouse!!!

Ok, now it's the $1 animal feeding time, anyone?

Damn wish I had that sort of disposable income..... Certainly wouldn't be buying crown crates with it though

I don't think the point here is as black and white as 'spend money in lootboxes' = 'gambling addiction' = 'bad', but rather that the game in its current form enables that type of behaviour.

I know this is an old post but had to reply anyway. Your statement Zos finally paid you back. Looking at your post and doing some rough calculations it appears that you spent just about $1500.00 dollars. Divided by three radiant mounts. I can tell you that is actually lower than the average. I have a collection of 10 radiant apex mounts. And the average I normally see is that it takes 300 sometimes more crates to get a radiant apex to appear. I read posts now and again from players saying they got one on the first crate or first 15. That is like hitting the lottery. And maybe even less likely than winning the lottery. I try to tell people if they are actually trying to get a radiant that they should plan on these odds or worse. Be ready to drop $800.00. If one drops in less then you have lucky RNG. There is always the worst story like The 1000 lost crates where someone opens that many and does not see a drop. And then the opposite where it appears in the first crate. I am somewhat skeptical reading these but do know it is possible at the extremes. So for those thinking if I get 100 or 200 crates I will hope to get a radiant. Not likely. It generally takes average of 300. I am not a lucky person when it comes to odds like these. I always see the worst RNG and somewhat plan on it. I still have seen worse and went through 500 crates for each mount on two of my radiant mounts.

Just trying to share reality from someone who has paid to play.

Did you know that some people got the plague husk horse from one of the free crates about 2 years ago? At that time zos gave people the original version of the crate so at least someone would get the R.A mount without spending a penny. I think zos might not really hope that happens again thats why only "Preview" versions are giving away this year.
