Dude... Of course you are gonna get radiant mounts with the sheer amount of crowns.. but holy crap what a waste of money.. that's like easily roughly $1000 AUD/Average weeks pay here in Aus. I understand that it's your money to spend and you're entitled to your own choices/opinion but anyone in their right mind would condone this reckless spending. Considering its purely cosmetic and when the servers eventually close at some point in the future and your mounts will vanish. The only person that's won here is ZOS by getting your money lol. Such a waste!

I'm from Sydney, as you said 1000AUD is just a week or two's pay, so it's really not a big deal to me. At least in this quarter i don't have to buy crates anymore.

After spending all the crowns left, I decided to purchase one more 21000 pack and give it one last go.. It is miracle,,, the first round in the 2nd or 3rd crate I finally got the Solar horse!!!!!!!
Even though I called my favorite Argonian Templar the lucky one, but the real lucky people are those who got the R.A mount from free crates!!! They made me jealouse!!!

“Miracle” would be if you got the three Apexes in 10 crates. Opening hundreds upon hundreds is just forcing the odds. While I do enjoy a bit of RNG lootboxing here and there, the bloom does fall off the rose and even those of us with decent disposable incomes start to see the valuelessness of digital items. As long as you understand that these items are 100% meaningless fluff and you are pissing away a set and determined amount (not quite clear from your repeated purchases predicated by losses), then it’s just harmless fun. The issues arise when you get caught in an addictive loop of “just one more crate”, which is sounds as if you did.

I don’t know that we should celebrate that kind of addictive behaviour, though I’m certainly glad you got what you wanted and were able to stop. Would you have stopped, though, if that RA hadn’t dropped? These are the questions we should ask ourselves.

If anything, we should be asking for ZoS to build in a ‘pity counter’ (pull 100X and select your Radiant) as most gachas have incorporated to prevent this kind of consumer abuse. It will also protect them from inevitable legislation.

This! Loot crates are just a horrible practice in the first place. I find this funny though that people defend and justify their ridiculous spending. As I said, its a classic case of gamblers addiction/Denial.

Okay, A fellow Aussie, I noticed you said "At least in this quarter I don't have to buy crates anymore" Why do you assume you have to buy them in the first place? Yet ZOS can't even provide a Oceanic based server for AU/NZ players (Surely they could just from the amount of money take make from Crown Crates alone could) And also if you are planning to spend at least this much on Crown Crates every season (Plus I'm assuming you buy regular items from the store like mounts, houses, outfits stuff like that) you definitely have an addiction to microtransactions. Everything is good in moderation.
