There might be some PvP grievers ganking the "Cyrodiil Tourists" because they struggle to compete in actual PvP. Try to complete all 10 town quests before moving on as they are in an order and if you leave you might start anywhere in that order when you continue the next day.

HOW TO DEAL WITH GANKERS:
* Quest in groups if you are a NON-PvP player
* Equip speed and immovability gear. If they cant immobilize or catch you, they cant kill you.
* Inform the serious PvP'ers zone chat that there are x amount of gankers at a specific venue, they love that type of info and will act on it.
* Use the gankers name in chat, some PvP players may have a beef with that ganker and will make a special effort to come seek them out.
* If a ganking group come to your town, simply go somewhere else
* If they're watching the towns do the capture 9 resources mission from the Gladiator Conquest Mission board There are 54 farms, limbermills and mines and they are very fast and easy to capture.
* If you get ganked respawn at another town or on the opposite end of the map
* if you're on your own do the scout mission board quests
* If you cant turn in a quest, hide till a fight starts then just turn it in
* Quest turn ins do not go away if you get missions from another town
* Hand your quest in at the same venue but in another campaign
* Embrace the hide and seek version of the event and treat it as an advanced thieves guild quest.

Some tips to avoid gankers: do this as an group, quest together, even if you don't quest together its easier to gang up or get rez than solo.

towns deep inside you faction control as in its an long way for an enemy to ride to get to keep is pretty safe as ganker has to ride a long way if killed while you can rez in the town tower (the building you port to to get to town)

Towns under enemy control is obviously dangerous as enemy playes use this to quest an they will often assume you are an ganker. Holding block is an peace symbol, it does not always work but get others to see you as non hostile.

You might want to test mulitple campains to find one there your faction dominate, population bars are an indication.

Play at odd hours, fewer players so fewer enemies, also the low population make ganking boring so they are likely to do something else. Did 30 quests early this morning, did not see an enemy. Later in the week people get bored so population goes down.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

sorry, tl,dr, but I'm sure the guide is good :).

Beginners should have the possibility to win tokens granting a fixed time of immunity to pvp damage while in Cyrodiil.
Make it available for crowns, to increase the income...

Or maybe it's in crown store already?

(By my own admission, TL;DR. Thank you for the write up, however...)

Town quests are not the live-and-let-live thing they were in Midyear. There's some massive wave of schadenfreude going on during this event. I tried town quests last night, received my periodic reinforcement of why I stay away from people who find enjoyment in other people's annoyance, and peaced out.

If you're upset by people who live solely to stamp out your ability to participate in an event (because there is no other meaningful reward for ganking town questers), keep out of Cyrodiil.

IMO, the best guide for PvE folks is to wait til week 5 and do non-PvP quests. Get your Tharn pages then. ZOS made it so you have a shot at these rewards at another point in time; take them up on it and stop feeding the trolls.

I don't mind the occasional PvP engagement, but I am puzzled by why some people setup industrial farms for PvP.
In Cropsford on Thursday (Boethiah, I think), there were 5 AD camping inside the building with the quest giver. The town was held by EP so there were plenty of EP questers going in occasionally - and dying immediately.

The trap was setup more or less as follows:
    • Warden rune that teleports people from the door to tank location
    • A couple of sorc daedric mines in the target location (probably more than one sorc since I got 18k damage)?
    • occasional spams of shalks and AOEs to finish off anyone who was already stunned and low health.
Clever combo of skills, actually, and a total death-trap. Probably boring as hell tho, sitting there for an hour or more, getting occasional drabs of AP.

None of this information is useful.

Since the event started yesterday, people have been doing the daily quests in groups for survival.

Sounds very over complicated for killing solo pve players.
Worse so that it don't help much on an group except killing the first ones, you are now trapped inside.
More fun if AD takes the town :)

Pro tip: do some meditation or get real “chill” ;) before queuing into Cyrodiil. Don’t be in a rush to get in or out (don’t do it before work). Get real comfy. If you are going to go in and you hate pvp, plan ahead for frustration.

I was in Boethia at that time, at Vlas there was a PvP specced group of about 30 EP gankers caming out the quest pick up/hand in point with only an interest in farming questers. We called it in chat and AD players arrived to give them a run on equal footing but seriously THIRTY PLUS GANKERS???

Same thing last night when a certain Pappa*** and his cronies were making life difficult at Bruma, sigh I do not see what they get out of it but hey I guess they get some sort of kick out of being an ass.

So basically this is a guide on "How to avoid pvp during a pvp event"?

More like a “come dip your toes in pvp, cause we could really need you, so here’s a how to avoid being chewed up and spat out by some try hard”

Loved it. Hope Cyrodiil will be a welcoming place

Why dont you guys stick to the map? Like whereever the defense is or capping a resource people insist on questing in towns

You don't need to know any PvP to heal people or use sieges

Most PvP players running around Cropsford&Co. aren't interested in actually PvPing either during the event, so that's only fair.

Thanks but no thanks - this is one event I avoid like the plague. ESO events are grindfests enough. Throw in getting trolled by players on top of that will cause me to blow a blood vessel.

You could offer me a complete set of gold perfected gear + a dragon mount and it would still not even garner a reflex.

Wish this event would be removed. Complete waste of time. Its divisive and unpleasant for a ton of people.

Noone has to go anywhere near Cropsford or Bruma. One can just enjoy pvp as usual and earn tons of AP and reward boxes (from RFTW mails) while doing so.

    There are:
5 Towns with 10 missions each (1 min per reward)

5 Towns for the Capture 3 towns mission (app 15 min per reward)
18 Keeps for the Capture keeps mission (app 30 min per reward)
54 Farms/Mills/Mines for the Capture 9 resources mission (app 20 min per reward)
72 Scout locales for the Scout location (app 10 min per reward)

For me, i handle the gankers and do multiple quests for lots of reward boxes.

Yet we deal with all the pve events, maybe sit this one out and QQ somewhere else
