Every corner you look in this game you see vibrant armors, extravagant skins, glowing eyes, and over the top flashy mounts. I wanted to know just how many of you, like myself, try to remain relatively "normal" when it comes to your Outfit Styles and the Mounts you ride in order to maintain our immershun. We may be boring or bland, but we take pride in trying to fit into the world we play in.

Show us your practical, minimalist, immersive looks.

Basically all my characters are like that. I don't use any glowing mounts and skins either. For me it's just tasteless.

I wear the bare minimum of clothing to flex my silver skin in craglorn.

Senche, which is the typical mount of the Khajiit. Literally the same as an Imperial on a Sorrel Horse.

For me it depends on the character. Some of them I try to make blend in with the NPCs, others absolutely would summon a magical glowing horse if they could, and they have the magic to do it. And some fall somewhere in between - they want to stand out, but in non-magical ways.

Same with what they wear and what weapons they use. I have an idea of all my characters personality and backstory when I make them, and then I choose what they wear and use based on that rather than having an overarching theme for all my characters.

I don't have good screenshots of most of them, but here's my warden as an example. The idea with her equipment is that she made most of it herself while roaming around the wilderness and the end result is somewhere between what the Wyresses wear and something more typical for a Breton. She uses a lot of different mounts, but mainly horses, wolves and the black sabre cat (she travelled through the Reach for a while, and picked up some interesting skills while she was there - including learning to tame and ride sabre cats).

I'm definitely the same OP. Not a big fan of all the glowing/on fire mounts/skins etc. Some of the newer mounts looking like a bunch of neon signs on Miami Beach

Funny because I've gotten several of the super sought-after Apex mounts just from the FREE crates (Never bought crates cause I 95% don't like the rewards, just got "lucky") that I have absolutely zero interest in because they are on fire/glowing etc.

Wish I could sell or give them to some of my friends who are into that sort of thing.

All that RNG is completely wasted on me LOL! My Guar is my mount for life

Sure, I've had a crap ton of various looks & outfits, but these are my most recent from like past year or so:

I went for a very basic look with my nightblade, most of her items match what she wore at level 10ish.

I have no issue with flashy armors, skins and mounts. To each their own.

However, my main Alex is a master thief and as such will always try to remain practical and inconspicuous.

The last thing he wants to do is draw attention to himself, so he dresses in drab black clothing with a wide-brim hat that can be pulled down to shadow his features if necessary (hoods on non-mages can make others instantly suspicious) and has a plain grey horse with discreet saddlebags to carry his loot. He also doesnt keep any pets.




My sorc Runilkar is a bit on the conservative side as well, dressing in old ancient elf robes and not using skins or keeping a pet either. The closest he comes to flashy is once in a while he'll summon a clanfear (never a twilight, he finds those flappy things to be quite annoying) or conjure a spectral horse when hes not in the mood to walk somewhere (which to him is far more practical than having to keep and care for a live horse).

I wear the free costume we got about five months ago in daily rewards and the wolfhunter hat, and ride the sench leopard mount. It's all pretty plain, but matches. ....and the mount doesn't flash or explode or anything when you mount up, which is nice IMO.

I'm flashy and proud. Gaudy and flashy are 2 different things.

I do this. In stealth play I try to look like an npc. I blend in and stand like a placed npc in say a stable rather than the middle of the path. I have had other players come up to me thinking I am a quest giver or merchant only to run off confused after a while.
