google just announced their cloud gaming platform
no lags or latency issues anymore!

do you think it will improve cyrodiil performance if ever ESO will be available there?

It can't be that bad. Blizzard does just fine with updating Diablo 3 in parallel across all platforms..well at least PC/Xbox/PS

Article says it would need around 25 Mb/s to play at just 1080p60. Run the math on that.

That would be 90,000 Mbits per hour of gaming. divide by 8 turn it into 11,000 MB or 11 GB of data per hour.

And for what exactly? To pay Google some large fee to use their proprietary platform? No thanks, I'll keep control over my own software.

its a feature of gaming and sooner or later you will have no choice

This table would disagree with your false assertion.
    https://broadbandnow.com/internet-providers-with-data-caps

    Big ISPs:

    AT&T: 1 TB
    Comcast: 1 TB
    ***: 1 TB

I won't disagree there. Its terrible here but the US market is a very large market

Why would a streaming service improve ESO performance? How does that make any sense?

Front end hardware vs. backend hardware. At that point, performance is only limited by bandwidth

No, because Google is pitching it as a separate service. Expect it to go the way of onLive in six months.

I don't think this tech is ready for a game like ESO yet. In the future maybe, but not right now.

You'll still be able to buy your own games.

60 fps with extra input lag is not going to cut it for most PC gamers. They'd need to be able to hit 120 fps at least with virtually no input lag for this to really take off.

Streaming services are more of a threat to consoles.

Yes, having all the Graphical power in the same room as the mathematical power could certainly simplify things. But as you say, it doesn't solve the problem of bandwidth, and in fact makes it exponentially worse.

Also, depending on how close or far you are to a Google server would still make your reactions happen sooner or later than other people reactions. Lag would still be a thing.
and another big PLUS - NO CHEATERS
    AT ALL

Packet manipulation is going nowhere. Also macros could still be used. And this is all based on Chrome, a program that still would reside in your computers memory when up and running. Cheat Engine can currently manipulate Chrome like any other program that resides in your RAM.

Pretty much. Lots of the US has garbage download speeds, too. At higher prices than in EU or SE Asia. (part of the issue is being such a large country - lots of "rural" areas far from decent infrastructure. But even populated/dense areas can have bad service, since the ISPs don't have a strong reason to improve quickly and/or have local/limited monopolies.)
edit: oh, yeah - Canada apparently also has plenty of data caps.

As with all "OMG The Future Is Here™" streaming services, this Stadia thing will live or die by the fact that people can't get decent performance with all the network latency/slowness/etc. I'm sure it'll be great if you happen to live in one of the places with Google Fiber. Me, on the other hand - even with theoretically-30 mbps Comcast service, my best Steam download speed is ~2.2. When Destiny 2 was given away 'free' last November, it took me 10-11+ hours to download it. 6 hours last week to download Division 2. Yeah, I miss the days of installing off physical discs.

Sadly even Google Fiber hardware is crap. Its wifi is abysmal and the modem/wifi itself leaves a lot be desired. I had to install my own router!
