Temeraire507✭✭✭Well, people facetank meteors and lava. Not to mention fire, electricity, stuff bigger than themselves being thrown into them and being hit hard by a sharp weapon with no or weak physical protection against it. I very much doubt being struck by a bullet, rocket or grenade would kill them. And don't forget we have means to reflect projectiles. Not the best environment to carry a oneshot projectile to if you ask me1 -

Flame staff jokes aside, just imagine how much "fun" you would be having if every nightblade sneak could easily oneshot you from way past your possible magelight or potion detection radius with a sniper rifle!
Why do you think snipe was changed from how it was, way back when? (longer windup but more damage - too one-shotty in cyrodil!)
And I do imagine how muich immersion it would leave if there were actual guns in an fantasy game...
I mean, the ranged weapons we DO have are the next best thing - except for the "insta-kill headshot" and the "auto-burst-hose-spray-em-all" features. Just in fantasy flavor.
But what the OP wants is a weapon that has such a high killpower, that battles get decided by reflexes alone - whoever fires first, wins. Even if they are the smaller group. And that would be little fun, as well as not fit a fantasy themed setting.0 -
