Why TESO PVP need firearms

I want to explain here why TESO PVP need firearms. For example, today me and 3 my friends(so 4 players EP PVP group) was in Imperial City grinding bosses playing PVP etc. We confronted another group - 3 players DC group and we killed them. After first fight we killed them about 3-4 times or more today's evening. Later this evening we confronted 5 players AD group, and this time they killed us. We met them around 8 times and everytime they killed us with absolutely no chances for our group.

Now, imagine similar situations like I described above in any more or less realistic game with firearms(CS:GO, Armed Assault, DayZ etc). In any game(more or less realistic) with firearms small scale group has chances to win vs bigger or stronger group. Because firearms is deadly and one man with rifle is able to kill 3-4 guys with rifles. So if we would have guns today's evening in Imperial City, may be we could win at least 2-3 of 9 fights vs that AD group.

A 3v4 or a 4v5 is a pretty balanced fight for IC or Cyrodiil, assuming both sides know what they are doing.

If your group of 4 kept losing to 5 players, I don't think firearms are going to be the answer to your problem.

3v4 or a 4v5 just an example(i think its not balanced fight though). What about 2vs5 or 1vs3 in TESO? No chances for smaller group.

AoEs can do damage to more than one person at a time. Also, we're playing a game where at a very early level we
    kill a god-like creature
I don't think this game is very realistic.

One last thing, you do realize that in your scenario the other group would also carry firearms, right? And that they too would be able to kill 3-4 people. So, according to your logic, one person from your group would be able to kill 3 or 4 of the other group, which would still leave one or two of them to kill all of you.

I hate to break it to you, but it's distinctly possible your character has the ability to project a magical field which protects them from incoming damage. To say nothing of, you know, vampires.

So, now you have reasons for everyone to run vampires or werewolves, instead of just, you know, most people. Because, again, normal bullets don't work on them.

Finally, you might not have noticed this, but a lot of characters wear really heavy armor. While it's difficult to know with absolute certainty, a lot of that stuff does look heavy enough to shrug off a black powder round or twenty. Might not be able to handle a modern cartridge, but that just leads into all kinds of other questions.

Ultimately, TES doesn't really have gunpowder. And, the prevalence of magic in the setting means there's not much incentive to invent the stuff. Really, explosives in general are in pretty short supply in Tamriel, because you generally don't need them. Need that wall out of your way? Magic. Annoying troll trying to rip you limb from limb? Magic. Need to be accused of summoning up infernal creatures and get put to death? Clanfears have you covered.

So, no, it wouldn't, really, fit with TES.

Probably the closest thing you'll get to a firearm that I can find - An arm cannon that shoots bolts. If you were expecting UMPs, FN SCAR, or 12 guage shotguns, then I'm afraid you're out of luck

Firearms do not exists millenias later in Skyrim, no chance to see them.
Also, even with firearms, you would die all the same. Play better or invite more people.

1vX is an imaginary playstyle, I guess!

Oh, wait. Its not. A skilled player or better organized group can definitely beat a larger, but less organized or skilled group. Against groups of equal skill/organization, usually the larger group wins, but that's to be expected, all other things being equal - and guns wouldn't change that.

How would you feel on the opposite side of your suggestion? Those 3 DC players that you fought and beat 4-5 times, do you think they felt like they had a chance against you and would like some firearms?

If they had these firearms and they used them against you and they beat you, would this be acceptable?

Would you say: well at least they had a chance against us with those firearms, they really did a good thing by putting them in the game.

Or would it be more like:

Firearms are ruining this game, it allows 2-3 people to take on 10 people. That is completely unfair, unbalanced and they need to be taken from the game.

    Perspective is a ***.

If you want to play an MMO with guns, go play SWTOR or FFXIV. Both have classes that use guns. Have fun.

Oh dear. Someone better start explaining to everyone that bows, staves, aoes of various types, and the fighter's guild silver bolts won't kill anything. If only "firearms is deadly"./sarcasm This concept might be unbelievable to the many people in the pvp/battlegrounds in the game who end up getting killed at a distance without firearms..... Even in the "good old days" the dwemer never bothered with firearms. Giant walking crossbow siege machines, yes. Firearms, not so much.
