I want to explain here why TESO PVP need firearms. For example, today me and 3 my friends(so 4 players EP PVP group) was in Imperial City grinding bosses playing PVP etc. We confronted another group - 3 players DC group and we killed them. After first fight we killed them about 3-4 times or more today's evening. Later this evening we confronted 5 players AD group, and this time they killed us. We met them around 8 times and everytime they killed us with absolutely no chances for our group.
Now, imagine similar situations like I described above in any more or less realistic game with firearms(CS:GO, Armed Assault, DayZ etc). In any game(more or less realistic) with firearms small scale group has chances to win vs bigger or stronger group. Because firearms is deadly and one man with rifle is able to kill 3-4 guys with rifles. So if we would have guns today's evening in Imperial City, may be we could win at least 2-3 of 9 fights vs that AD group.
Oh dear. Someone better start explaining to everyone that bows, staves, aoes of various types, and the fighter's guild silver bolts won't kill anything. If only "firearms is deadly"./sarcasm This concept might be unbelievable to the many people in the pvp/battlegrounds in the game who end up getting killed at a distance without firearms..... Even in the "good old days" the dwemer never bothered with firearms. Giant walking crossbow siege machines, yes. Firearms, not so much.

This is Tamriel.
You get Crossbows. There's your "Firearm".
Why not some tactical nuclear weapons if we are already at it ?
One or two could actually end the alliance war!
Let me consult with Anu and Padomay and I will get back to you
But seriously, guns have no place in ESO due to lore as others already mentioned.
If you really want to use guns, there are games with guns that you can play...

Nope, you don't have notable chance to kill considerably more skilled group in FPS. But thing is that competitive FPS has MMR and don't have exploits (mostly), so it's rare that you will see such wipe-after-wipe in there.I want to explain here why TESO PVP need firearms. I was going to say, "but Warhammer Fantasy," then I stopped and thought about the, "sane adult," clause there.
I mean, if you have a dark fantasy setting that's based on Early Modern Europe (16th/17th century), then, yeah, there's absolutely a place for firearms.
Also, in fairness, ESO isn't really Dark Fantasy. It lacks the bleakness usually associated with that genre, though the degree of moral ambiguity available to the player in franchise isn't out of line for that, so it's not a hard, "no."

That was a derp on my end. It took your comment to realize I mixed "High Fantasy" up with "Dark Fantasy".
